Olympus’ TOUGH TG-820 is the latest addition to the TOUGH line, which sets a new benchmark for Waterproof, Shockproof, Freezeproof, Crushproof and Dustproof performance. Intended to deliver superb image quality even in extreme environments, the TG-10 iHS includes the new iHS (Intelligent, High-Sensitivity and High-Speed) family of technologies. The camera is waterproof to 33 feet, shockproof to 6.6 feet, freezeproof to 14 °F and even Crushproof to a weight of 220 pounds, and dustproof.

BenQ’s AC100 is a new compact, easy to use digital camera. The 14 Megapixel point-and-shoot camera features 4x optical zoom lens with F2.9 and 2.7mm wide angle. It has a 2.7-inch LCD display and supports 720p HD video recording. The AC100 offers ISO sensitivity up to 3200.

Along with the SZ-12, Olympus is launching just another ultra zoom digital camera – the SP-620UZ. Compare to the SZ-12, the SP-620UZ packs a less powerful lens in a less compact body, and that makes the latter more affordable. The 16 Megapixel shooter gets a 21x optical zoom lens with 25mm wide angle, TruePic III+ image processor, and a 3-inch LCD screen. It is the successor to the SP-610UZ.

Olympus launches a new digital camera, the SZ-31MR iHS with a long-zoom lens and the iHS Technology. In fact, the SZ-31MR looks just like the new SZ-12/SZ-14 but of course it gets more functions and features. With a compact and lightweight body, the camera sports a 24x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens and a 16 Megapixel back-illuminated sensor. The new iHS (Intelligent, High-Sensitivity and High-Speed) technologies are there to deliver “excellent images and videos in the most challenging backlit and low light conditions.” It even offers 48x Super-Resolution Zoom in case you need to get closer to your subject.

Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L II USM

Canon brings three new lenses, the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM and EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM, all feature rear focusing system, high-speed CPU, and a powerful ring-type Ultra Sonic Motor (USM) with optimized AF algorithms for faster auto focusing and sharp images.

Pentax introduces its 13th generation of rugged waterproof digital camera, the Optio WG-2 and the Optio WG-2 GPS that are the successor to the WG-1. The two new rugged cameras are adventure proof. They are not just waterproof to up to 40 feet (12 meters), but are also shockproof to withstand from drops up to 5 feets, crushproof to withstand weights up to 220 LBF (pound force), coldproof to sub-freezing temperatures of minus 10 degrees C, and dustproof to operate in dusty environments. A tough mineral crystal cover protects internal lens elements and a SP coating helps eater sheet off the optical surface.

Nikon introduces the its new D800 and D800E digital SLR cameras featuring a 36.3 Megapixel FX-Format CMOS image sensor. To handle extreme resolution and deliver amazing images, the D800/D800E is equipped with EXPEED 3 image processing engine. It features the new 91,000-pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering III and the Advanced Scene Recognition System, and an improved 51-point AF system with 15 Cross Type AF sensors for sharp and clear images.

Canon PowerShot A1300 Black

Another two new additions to the A-series, the PowerShot A1300 and PowerShot A810 are cameras powered by AA batteries. Each of them sports a 16 Megapixel image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle and a 2.7-inch LCD display. The A1300 also comes equipped with an optical viewfinder for the more traditional camera users.

Canon PowerShot A2400 IS Blue

Along with the A4000 IS and A3400 IS, Canon also brings the PowerShot A2400 IS and the PowerShot A2300 digital cameras. Both models are equipped with 16 Megapixel image sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle. The A2400 IS features Optical Image Stabilizer and Intelligent IS function that automatically optimizes image stabilization, while the A2300 has Digital IS.

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Blue

Canon introduces its new PowerShot A-series digital cameras for entry-level users to learn the joy of photography.
