The GP7A-HD is equipped with NVIDIA ION graphics and offers VGA and HDMI output. It has integrated DVD burner and room for a a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive. You can also find two mini PC Express card slot for expansion. There are also 6-in-1 card reader, onboard audio, eSATA port and six USB ports.

iBuyPower has launched the Chimera 2 Core i7/i5-powered gaming PC as the follow-up to its Chimera system. A new PC builder called Origin PC has just introduced two gaming machines, the GENESIS desktop and the EON18 laptop.

The GENESIS can be powered by Intel’s Core i7/Core i5 or AMD’s Phenom II processors. It is equipped with ATI or NVIDIA’s graphics cards and can get up to triple 1GB NVIDIA GTX285 cards. SSDs in RAID 0, Blu-ray burner, Sound Blaster X-Fi High Definition Surround Sound Audio, liquid cooling are available as options. The GENESIS starts at $1699.

A company called Giada introduces the Slim N10 nettop with NVIDIA’s ION graphics processor. The N10 is a pretty standard ION nettop getting an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor, up to 4GB RAM and a 2.5-inch hard drive. It has a multi-in-one card reader and a eSATA connector. VGA and HDMI outputs are available.

Stantum unveils its proof-of-concept Slate PC, a multiouch tablet PC based on Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 netbook. The Slate PC, said to be “future of netbook”, gets a 10.1-inch multitouch LCD panel and Stantum’s PMatrix technology. The screen has 1024×600 resolution, 500:1 contrast and 200cd/m2 brightness. The device supports both finer and stylus input.

The Slate PC also gets a more compact case, compare to Mini 10. However, webcam, Buetooth, WiFi have been removed. It runs Windows 7 32 bit for multitouch support. No words on pricing and availability.

NVIDIA Tesla C2050 & C2070 GPU Computing Processors

NVIDIA announced its new Tesla 20-series of GPUs for the high performance computing (HPC) market. The Tesla 20-series is based on the company’s new generation CUDA processor architecture, codenamed “Fermi”.

The Tesla 20-series includes the Tesla C2050 and Tesla C2070 GPU Computing Processors, which is for workstation configurations and the Tesla S2050 and S2070 for for cluster and datacenter deployments. The former two are single GPU PCI-Express Gen-2 cards with up to 3GB/6GB of GDDR5 memory offering double precision performance in the range of 520GFlops – 630 GFlops while the latter two are Four Tesla GPUs in a 1U system product with up to 12GB/24GB GDDR5 memory providing 2.1 TFlops – 2.5 TFlops performance.

The Tesla C2050 and C2070 products will retail for $2,499 and $3,999 and the Tesla S2050 and S2070 will retail for $12,995 and $18,995. They will be available in Q2 2010.

Recently, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) has upgraded the Jaguar Cray XT5 supercomputer from quad-core to six-core AMD Opteron processors, delivering 2.3 petaflop/s theoretical peak performance and 1.75 petaflop/s performance on the Linpack benchmark.

The six-core  Jaguar Cray XT5 is the most powerful supercomputer in the world according to the TOP500 Organization, which has just released its bi-annual list of the highest performing systems in the world. RAmos launches in China, the T10RK media player, an upgrade to the T10. The T10RK packs Rockchip’s RK2806 chipset for “real” HD decoding of H.264 abd MKV video format. RAmos’s new PMP has a 4.3-inch 800×480 LCD display and 8GB internal memory.
