NEC expands its P-series large screen display by introducing the new P552 model intended for 24/7 operation in venues such as quick-service restaurants, airports, public information environments, healthcare facilities and retail stores. The professional-grade, industrial-strength LCD display includes robust thermal protection, internal temperature sensors with self-diagnostics and fan-based technology to prevent overheating.

The NEC P552 features Full HD 1920x1080p resolution, up to 700cd/m2 brightness, and 4000:1 contrast ratio. Targus launches the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Dual Video Adapter (model ACA039US), which is basically a dual-head USB 3.0 video card allowing users to add two external monitors to notebook instantly. Canon brings two new installation LCOS projectors for the professional AV market, the REALiS WUX5000 and WUX5000 D. Both models utilizes Canon’s fourth-generation AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical technology to maximize the display capabilities of their advanced LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) imaging panels. The projectors delivers 1920×1200 16:10 widescreen resolution, and a high brightness level of 5000 lumens.

The REALiS WUX5000 and WUX5000 D feature a built-in Canon Color-Correction IC (integrated circuit) and 3D color LUT (look-up table) for six-axis color management, amd includes the Memory Color Correction that enables users to save their preferred color settings. Their Lens-Shift feature allows installers to overcome moderate projector-placement obstacles by shifting the lens itself to adjust the vertical and horizontal position of the projected image. 3M MP220 Mobile Projector

3M announced two new Mobile Projectors at the CES 2012, the MP220 and the MP410. Both models use LED light source offering up to 20,000 hours of lamp life. The MP220 uses Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology for superb image quality, while the MP410 is based on DLP technology. They both have built-in document viewer and media player for easy presentation without a laptop.

The 3M MP220 is able to project up to 65-inch still or moving images with 1024×699 resolution and 50 lumens brightness. It has 2GB internal memory and a microSD/SDHC card slot. JVC Procision Series DLA-X90R, DLA-X70R

JVC announced that it is now shipping its full 4K precision projectors, including the Procision Series DLA-X90R, DLA-X70R and DLA-X30 (which will also be marketed by JVC Professional Products Company as Reference Series DLA-RS65, DLA-RS55, DLA-RS45, respectively), and the Reference DLA-RS4800.

All seven models are equipped with three 0.7″ 1920 x 1080 D-ILA devices and are designed around JVC’s third generation D-ILA High Dynamic Range optical engine that is optimized to provide exceptional native contrast ratios without a dynamic iris to artificially enhance contrast specifications. They include 2D-to-3D converter, 3D broadcast compatibility, Cross Talk Canceller that reduces cross talk, and a parallax adjustment that allows the user to tailor the 3D image effect. Also included is JVC’s 3D anamorphic feature, which combined with an optional anamorphic lens make it possible to enjoy 3D movies in the popular 2:35 scope format. They are also equipped with improved driver that keeps the shutter on the active shutter 3D glasses open longer, thus allowing more light to enter, while at the same time minimizing cross talk.

JVC Procision DLA-X30

The DLA-X90R and DLA-RS65 feature 120,000:1 native contrast ratio. According to JVC, they are built using hand-selected, hand-tested components. Two pairs of 3D glasses and a PK-EM1 3D Signal Emitter are included. The DLA-X70R and DLA-RS55 offer 80,000:1 native contrast ratio while the DLA-X30 and DLA-RS45 have 50,000:1 native contrast ratio. The ISF certified DLA-RS4800 provides a 55,000:1 native contrast ratio, and comes with a spare lamp.

The top four models (DLA-X90R/DLA-RS65, DLA-X70R/DLA-RS55) feature the JVC’s 4K e-Shift technology and are THX 3D certified. Using e-Shift, 2D HD content is upconverted and scaled to a 4K signal (3840 x 2160) and the e-Shift technology displays it at full 4K precision.  These four models have ISF certifcation and comes with enhanced installation adjustment, an upgraded optical engine that further improves black level and native contrast, 7-Axis Color Management System, ISF and THX Calibration as well as three Three Xenon lamp color modes that emulate the characteristics of high-end movie projectors.
