Gaming peripheral maker Razer showcases its Switchable concept portable gaming device powered by Intel’s Atom platform. The portable device is designed to allows gamers to play on the go without giving up the precision and control ordinarily possible on a desktop gaming system. Measuring 172mm x 115mm x 25 mm, the Switchblade has a 7-inch multitouch display and a actile dynamic keyboard that adapts and changes on the fly with the games being played.

Sony officially announced at the E3 its new PlayStation Vita (PCH-1000 series) next generation portable gaming device designed to bring users a new portable gaming experience. At first sight, the PS Vita may look like the original PlayStation Portable (PSP), but it actually gets a all-new Life (Vita means “Life” in Latin). The handheld is available for $249 for WiFi-only model and $299 for 3G/WiFi model.

Finally, Sony Ericsson officially announced its Xperia PLAY PlayStation phone at the MWC 2011. Running Android 2.0 Gingerbread OS with Timescape UI, the PLAY is the world’s first PlayStation-certified smartphone. It features a side-sliding gaming control with a digital D pad, two analogue touch pads, two shoulder buttons and the four PlayStation icons: circle, cross, square and triangle, making it look just like the PSP Go.
