Fortune magazine has released the list of America’s Most Admired Companies 2008. With the launch of the popular iPhone, Apple is the new Number 1 in the list, up from No. 7 last year. Another tech giant is Google, which is Number 5, up from number 8.

The Japanese Auto maker, Toyota is the fifth one, down from no 3.

Andy Rubin, head of Android, showed us a demo of the Android OS to BBC’s Darren Waters. The phone is running at 300MHz and it is capable for playing Quake and showing Google Maps Street View.

It’s not perfect, but it’s also not ready for prime time, so we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on some of the janky-looking elements of the OS.

According to Robert X. Cringely, there are two Samsung made, Google braned and Android powered mobile phone to be launched later this year.

There are two models, the advanced model is said to be release in September while a ordinary model will be available after Christmas. Both phone will have WiFi.

Will these two be the GPhone? Let’s wait and see.

A MobileBurn member has recieved at survey about the Google Phone by Samsung. The Google Phone is developed by Samsung, it has a full QWERTY keypad, supports 3G, WiFI, and has a 2 Megapixel camera.

Typical test-marketing survey mumbo jumbo suggests that the phone would offer “all the exciting Google services from the PC” and — thanks largely to targeted advertising — affordable (as it’s been suggested) flat-rate data service and a three-month trial.

The picture above is the rumored Google Switch, a phone develop by Google and Samsung.  Not yet confirmed if these pictures are real instead of Photoshop work. Wait and see.

What’s pictured in that all too familiar blur (Photoshopped?) is the phone’s contact program said to be an extended version of Gtalk combining Gmail, text and instant messaging. According to our tipster, the device doesn’t have any on-board storage.
