Garmin announced its Edge 200, a lightweight, stylish GPS-enabled cycling computer. Designed for those budget conscious cyclists looking for the basics — speed, distance, time and calories, the device packs a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix satellite prediction, meaning there’s less time spent waiting and more time spent riding. It has a 128×160 display.

Garmin announced a new handheld dog tracking deviec, the Astro 320. With a redesigned antenna, the maximum range between the Astro 320 and a Garmin tracking collar has been increased by nearly 30 percent – up to nine miles in flat, unobstructed terrain. It can track up to ten dogs per receiver at once, and the unit is fully compatible with Garmin’s DC 20, DC 30, and DC 40 dog tracking collars and accessories.

The Astro 320 features a 2.6-inch color display and intgrated GPS antenna. It supports TOPO U.S. 24K and 100K and has 1.7GB built-in memory for loading maps. As a dog tracker, it indicate a dog’s distance and status, (running, pointing, or treeing) and can be toggled to indicate the direction the dog is moving on the unit’s map page. The device is also equipped with a 3-axis electronic compass that lets hunters accurately view their dog’s position when holding the Astro 320 at any angle. It is waterproof with a tough, ruged exterior.

Garmin updates its Rino line with three new handheld two-way radios with GPS – the Rino 610, 650 and 655t. Garmin updates its eTrex line of handheld GPS devices by introducing three new models, the eTrex 10, eTrex 20 and eTrex 30. TomTom launches two new GPS devices for the Europe market, the GO Live 820 and the GO Live 825. Both devices come with one year of TomTom’s LIVE Service including the TomTom HD Traffic that offes accurate traffic information every two minutes. The Service also includes the Speed Cameras service, providing mobile and fixed speed camera alerts, while Local Search helps to pinpoint shops and businesses in the area. There are also QuickGPSfix that helps drivers to start navigation in seconds.

The GO Live 820 has a 4.3-inch touchscreen while the Live 825 comes with a 5-inch touchscreen. They both support Bluetooth for hands-free calling and voice control that allows users to use their voice to plan route and give command to the device. It has a microSD card slot for expansion.

Garmin announced two new touchscreen avionics devices, the GTN 650 and GTN 750 panel-mount units that are certified and approved for installation in hundreds of makes and models of general aviation aircraft. They both feature new capabilities for GPS/NAV/COM systems like touchscreen operation, graphical flight planning with victor airways and high-altitude jet routes, remote transponder, remote audio control (750 series only), SafeTaxi and electronic chart capabilities (750 series only).
