JVC-Victor announced the RV-NB50 boombox with an integrated iPod dock. The boombox features 2×5W speakers and 2×15W woofers. Other than playback from iPod, the JVC RV-NB50 has built-in CD player that supports audio CD and MP3/WMA CD and a USB port for playing WMA/MP3 files from USB drives.

The RV-NB50 includes FM tuner as well and comes with a remote control. It is compatible with iPod touch, iPod nano (all gen), iPod classic..etc. You can expect the boombox to out in late December…in Japan.

Chinese PMP maker, ainol updates its V8000HD series by introducing the so-called Full HD+ models, including the 4.3-inch V8000HDV and V8000HDR, the 5-inch V8000HDS and 6-inch V8000HDW. Except the V8000HDR with 480×272 resolution, the other three models all have 800×480 screens.

ainol’s new Full HD+ players is capable of playing back HD videos with up to 1920×1280p resolution. They supports almost all media file formats including H.264, MPEG4, WMV9, RMVB..etc. Audio playback are supported, of course.

MSI launches in China the MT-V887 portable media player that is based on Rockchip’s RK2728B chipset. Available in 4GB and 8GB, the V887 has a 4.3-inch 480×272 LCD display. Hitachi Maxell announced in Japan the new MXSP-D240 iPod dock speaker, which features two 53mm sound drivers, each offers 2.5W output power. The D240 provides an universal dock for iPod playback and recharge. There’s also a 3.5mm AUX in jack for connecting other multimedia devices.

The Maxell MXSP-D240 is available in White (MXSP-D240.WH) and Black (MXSP-D240.BK). It works with iPod classic, iPod nano, iPod touch 1G/2G and comes with a remote control. The speaker measures 240mm x 138mm x 151mm and weighs 1.2kg.

Korean company SAFA launches the Magic Study Touch multimedia English learning device. THe device is loaded with the “Magic English Game” for users to practice listening, writing and interpreting with 5000 sentences.

SAFA’s Magic Study Touch does also media playback supporting H.264, MPEG4, WMV9, AVI video, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC APE audio and JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG image files. It has a 3.5-inch 320×240 touchscreen display, 8GB or 16GB internal memory and a microSD card slot.

Sony introduces in Europe its new digital voice recorders, the 2GB ICD-UX200 and the 4GB ICD-UX300, ICD-UX300F. These recorders capture stereo sound as MP3 files and support playback of MP3, WMA and AAC audio formats.

Sony’s new UX200 allows up to 535 hours of recording while the UX300 offers 1072 hours. These audio recorders feature 21-step digital playback speed control makes it easier to hear exactly what’s been said without distortion when you’re transcribing that lecture, seminar or interview.

Compare to the UX300, the ICD-UX300F comes with addition FM tuner. All models offers up to 15 hours record / 83 hours playback time using an alkaline battery. They will be available in December 2009.

Audio-Technica announced in Japan its new AT-PHA30i portable amplifier for iPod media players. The device connects via iPod’s dock connector and offers a 3.5mm audio jack. It features 20Hz-20,000Hz frequency response, 22mW max ouptput, and 110dB S/N ratio.

The AT-PHA30i gets power from your iPod. It also serves as a remote control with music and volume control buttons. It works with iPod touch 2G, iPod nano, iPod Classic and it seems iPhone is also supported.

A Japanese company called Strapya launches its Music Card MP3 player that is about the size of a credit card. The Music Card has 2GB internal memory and supports MP3 and WMA audio files. It provides a 2.5mm jack, instead of 3.5mm and comes with a 3.5mm adapter so you can still use your own headphones.

BenQ announced in Taiwan the nReader K60, the company’s first e-book reading device. The K60 features a 6-inch SiPix Microcup touchscreen electronic paper display with 800×600 resolution, 167dpi, and 16 grey scales.

The nReader K60 has 2GB internal memory that is enough for 4000 e-book files and there is a microSD card slot for expansion. The e-reader supports ePub, PDF, HMTL, TXT e-book files as well as JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG image files. It can even playback MP3 audio files.
