RunCore introduces the Mini DOM, its latest single-chip SATA DOM SSD with a tiny size. With SATA II interface, RunCore’s new offering delivers higher performance and reliability, compare to IDE/ATA models. The Mini DOM SSDs use RunCore’s rSSD storage media in 104-ball FBGA package. It is available in three version – 7 pin Horizontal-female SATA DOM, 7 pin Vertical-female SATA DOM, and 22 pin Horizontal-male SATA DOM; and is available in capacities ranging from 8GB to 64GB.

PNY introduces a new USB flash drive, the Key Attache that is joining your keychain. The drive is available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, and offers up to 10MB/s write and 32MB/read speeds. Silver and Blue options are available.

Samsung introduces the world’s thinnest external optical drive, the SE-218BB external DVD burner. Measuring just 14mm thick, the SE-218BB is 18% thinner than conventional DVD writers. Designed for today’s mobile lifestyle and use with Ultrabooks and tablets, the drive is also lightweight. The slim DVD burner writes DVD+/-R at 8x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD+/-R Dual Layer at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x as well as CD-R/RW at 24x.

StarTech.com launches the UNIDOCK3U, a USB 3.0 SATA/IDE hard drive docking station. The dock has two slots, one for SATA drives and the other for IDE drives, and both slots can handle 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives. It features a drive ejection mechanism for SATA drives, and has status LED indicator for each drive.

OWC (Other World Computing) launches the Mercury Accelsior, which is the industry’s first fully Mac and PC supported bootable (also the only Mac-bootable) PCIe SSD card.
