Grandstream launches the new GXV3175 desktop IP multimedia phone with a 7-inch touchscreen, which is the sibling of to the Skype-certified GXV3140. The GXV3175 has a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS camera with privacy shutter, dual 10M/100M Ethernet ports with integrated PoE, integrated WiFi 802.11b/g/n, dual USB ports, SD port, stereo audio and TV output, headset jack, and stylus pen. It features 3-lines with up to 3 SIP accounts plus a FREE peer-to-peer IPVideoTalk service out of the box.

The Grandstream GXV3175 provides a touch-and-swipe graphic user interface in multiple languages and includes a full web broswer. Cisco announced its new umi telepresence, its first video conferencing system for consumer that brings family and friends together in HD video. Cisco ūmi connects to an existing HD television and a broadband internet connection to create a lifelike video communications experience.

Cisco umi system includes a HD camera, a console and a remote control. It connects to network via either wired Ethernet or wireless. Users can also record their own umi videos, which they can share on Facebook, on YouTube, or via email. Users can even keep in touch with people who don’t have umi by placing and receiving video calls from any computer with a webcam and Google video chat.

The Cisco umi will be released on 14 November and is now available for pre-order for $599. A monthly fee of $24.99 is needed for unlimited umi calls, video messaging and video storage.

Ooma launches the Ooma Telo Handset that “unlocks all the functionality of the Ooma Telo. Yamaha announced two new Skype-certified speakerphones, the SoundGadget PSG-01S and Projectphone PJP-25URS. The former is a personal Skype speakerphone while the latter is design for web videoconference and is intended for multiple users.

These Skype speakerphones feature built-in echo canceller for preventing echoes and cut-offs as as well wide-band stereo playback using two embedded speaker units. Other than Skype speakerphone, Yamaha’s new devices do also audio recording and music playback. They have dedicated Skype control buttons.

The SoundGadget PSG-01S even comes with acceleration sensors for Automatic Mode Switch. When the unit is positioned vertically, the unit is ready for Skype communication as a speakerphone. When it is placed horizontally, it is ready for music playback as a stereo speaker.

Asus announced the AiGuru SV1T Skyepe-certified standalone videophone with a touchscreen display. The SV1T is basically the touchscreen version of the original Asus SV1, offering a 7-inch large touchscreen. The device is also equipped with built-in webcam, speaker, and microphone.

The previously leaked HTC Magic, the G2, is now officially announced. The Magic G2 is the second Android phone from HTC, replacing the G1 Dream, and the first touchscreen-only Android phone. Nintendo introduces the Wii Speaker accessory for its Wii gaming device before. The Wii Speak allows users to connect up to 4 individual locations. Panasonic offers in Japan the KX-WP800 WLAN phone with Skype support. The Panasonic KX-WP80 can make VoIP calls without PC thanks to the dedicated WLAN router, that comes with the phone. The phone itself has a 1.8-inch color LCD display and it can store up to 500 contacts.
