Mitsubishi’s new 56P-QF65LCU is a 56-inch industrial-grade LCD display with Quad Full High Definition (QFHD)3840×2160 resolution (aka 4K-resolution), which is an ideal solution for applications that require ultra-high detail. The monitor utilizes a 4K a Super MVA LCD with a 50,000 hour back-light lifetime. It features 1200:1 contrast ratio, 450cd/m2 brightness, 176/176-degree viewing angle and 12ms GTG response time. It has has two brightness modes for installation flexibility: power-saving normal (480 watts) and bright (540 watts).

Mitsubishi introduces two new professional portable projectors with high-brightness, the WD720U and XD700U both based on DLP display technology. Both models are 3D-ready for rendering 3D images, and of course you have to prepare electronic shutter glasses. The WD720U features 1280×800 native resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 4300 lumens brightness, while the XD720U delivers 1024×768 images with 3000:1 contrast and 5000 lumens brightness. They have 5-Segment (R,G,B,W,Y) color wheel.

Sony BDP-S390
Sony launches two new WiFi-capable Blu-ray players, the BDP-S390 and BDP-S590. Like their brother BDP-S790, they have integrated support for WiFi connectivity for access to Sony Entertainment Network for streaming online movies,TV shows and videos from Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Hulu Plus…etc. Both models support Full HD 1080p Blu-ray playback and the S590 adds Blu-ray 3D support and 2D to 3D conversion.

Sony’s Handycam HDR-CX760V is a Full HD digital camcorder with 96GB internal flash memory that is enough got up to 38 hours of HD video recording. It is almost identical to the HDR-PJ760V but lacks the built-in projector. Equipped with 6.1 Megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, the camcorder does 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video recording and captures up to 24.1 Megapixel still images. It sports a 26mm wide angle Carl Zeiss lens with 10x optical zoom and 17x extended zoom.

Sony is going to ship its new Handycam HDR-PJ260V HD digital camcorder on 8 May. Basically, the PJ260V is a variant of Sony’s CX260V, featuring built-in projector which is able to produce 640×360 images with up to 100-inch screen size. The camcorder sports a 2.2 Megapixel Back-illuminated Exmor CMOS with ClearVid array color filter system, and a 30x optical zoom Sony G lens that is capable of 55x Extended Zoom.

ORIGIN PC adds the new GeForce GTX690 graphics card to its lineup. The new video card sports two Kepler GPUs, feautring 3072 NVIDIA CUDA cores, and offers performance almost identical to a pair of GTX680 in SLI, according to ORIGIN PC.
The card comes with ORIGIN PC professional GPU overclocking, and features an exterior frame made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum. ORIGIN PC now allows users to configure its GENESIS, MILLENNIUM, and CHRONOS line of PCs with the new GeForce GTX690 graphics card.

Optoma introduces two new high-brightness installation projectors, the ProScene EX855 and EW865. Based on TI’s single-chip DLP Dark Chip 3, the EX855 features 1024×768 XGA resolution, 5500 ANSI lumens brightness, while the EW865 delivers 1280×800 images with 6000 ANSI lumens. Both models offers 4000:1 contrast ratio. These installation projectors are ideal for boardrooms, auditoriums, live events, houses of worship…etc. With center lens design and full motorized lens shift, zoom and focus, they are easy to install.
The EX855 and EW865 come with built-in machanical shutter and offers extensive image and colour tuning options. They provides HDMI, DVI-D, two VGA, Component, composite, S-video inputs, RS232 and RJ45 control ports as well as USB port for remote mouse. Other than AMX Dynamic Discovery, there are also Crestron Roomview support, allowing users to monitor, manage and control every device in every room remotely via a network.

Micron Technology, that flash memory maker that is also Crucial and Lexar, introduces the Pop Video, a pico projector for iPhone and iPod touch. Instead of running cables, the projector has integrated 30pin dock connector to connect directly to iPhone and iPod touch, making sharing photos, videos easy. Based on LCoS technology, the Pop Video delivers 960×540 qHD video resolution and it uses LED light source. The optimal projection range is between 13 and 130 cm.

Optoma EcoBright TL50W
Optoma introduces two new lamp-free projectors, the TL30W and TL50W of the EcoBright line, which utilize Solid State Illumination technology and use LED light source. Based on DLP display technology, both models provide WXGA 1280×800 resolution and 3000:1 contrast ratio. The TL30W features 300 lumens brightness while the TL50W delivers 500 lumens. Thanks to the Solid State Illumination technology, there’s no lamp to replace.
