Mio launches in Europe its 500 series GPS navigation devices. 8 models are available. All models have a 4.7-incj widescreen, Bluetooth, support for handsfree calling and map data from TeleAtlas.
The Moov 560 and Moov 580 models both feature Text-to-speech and Live Local Search via bluetooth, while the Moov 580 offer real time traffic and FM tuner.
LaCie introduces the new 5big Network, a 5-bay RAID network drive. The 5big Network can hold up to five hot-swappable drives offering up to 7.5TB of capacities and RAID 5 and RAID modes. It has Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-TX connection interface and is able to handle up to 25 concurrent network users.
LaCie’s new network drive comes with also Active Directory Support (ADS) for for easy integration into Windows-based networks and a Wake-on-LAN. Three models are available, 2.5TB, 5TB and 7.5TB, which have a price taf of $899.99, $1399 and $1899 respectively.
AT&T launches the Sony Ericsson W760a that is the first 3G Walkman phone in the US. The Sony Ericsson W760a has a 2.2-inch LCD screen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, 40MB internal memory, integrated Walkman music player, support for Shake Control and SensMe, Bluetooth and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot.
The W760a offers also full HTML browser and support for AT&T Navigator service. It is priced at $129.99 after a two-year agreement and a $50 mail-in-rebate.
NotebookReview has done a review on Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400 notebook PC. The tested ThinkPad T400 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.83GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and ATI Mobility Radeon 3470 256MB graphics. It has also a DVD Multi burner, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Asus’ Eee all-in-one touchscreen desktop PC is now available for pre-order in the UK. This Eee All-in-One (model: ETP1602-WT-X0010) is an Atom-based desktop, like Averatec’s 18.4-inch all-in-one.
This all-in-one touch PC packs an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of memory, 160GB hard drive, and integrated graphics. It features also WiFi 802.11b/g/n, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, integrated micro[hone, built-in 2x4W speakers with SRS and a 4-in-1 memory card slot.
The Asus Eee All-in-One touch PC is priced at GBP399.
Olympus releases in Europe a speical edition Stylus 1040 Crystal (aka µ [mju:] 1040 Crystal in Europe) that comes embedded with 98 CRYSTALLIZED – Swarovski Elements crystals.
The Stylus 1040 Crystal, like the original edition, is a 10 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, TruePic III image processor, Digital image stabilization, Advanced Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment. It comes with a 2.7-ich HyperCrystal LCD display and supports xD-Picture cards and microSD cards. It will be available in limited quantities in late October.
LG launches its Scarlet LG80 LCD TV, joining the LG60 and LG70. The LG Scarlet LG80 offers 1080p Full HD resolution, 30,000:1 contrast ratio, integrated 3.1-channel virtual surround sound system, and LG’s Clear Voice technology.
The Scarlet LG80 comesw ith two HDMI 1.3a inputs and has a USB 2.0 port for acessing MP3 music and external memory. It will be available in October, but not in North America and Europe.
LG and Prada announced their second PRADA Phone. The new PRADA II will feature a QWERTY sliding-out keyboard and a 5 Megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. The PRADA II supports HSDPA 850/2100 7.2Mbps and WiFi connectivity and comes with full HTML browser. It has also TV out and FM tuner. The phone will be available in Europe in Q4 for about Euro 600.
Averatec announced its new 18.4-inch all-in-one desktop PC, joining the older 22-inch all-in-one PC. The Averatec 18.4-Inch all-in-one offers netbook configuration, powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive. It supports WiFi and has a 18.4-inch 1680×945 LCD display. It runs Windows XP Home. The price of this 18.4-inch all-in-one is $550.
It looks like Sonim is going to launch in the US market its successor of XP1, the XP3, which may be the world’s toughest mobile phone. The XP3 supports quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. It features a 128×160, a 3 Megapixel camera, integrated GPS and Bluetooth.
The Sonim XP3 is able to operated at -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It can afford 6-9 foot drops on concrete and is water resistant. With the 2200 mAh battery, the Sonim XP3 offers 2.5 days of talk time and up to 2 months of standby time.
