Velocity Micro is launching later this year two new Android tablets, the Cruz Tablet T510 and the Cruz Tablet T507, both running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The new Cruz Tablets are powered by 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of RAM and ARM Mali 400MHz 3D grapics acceleration. They have 8GB internal storage.

Velocity Micro launches two new Android tablets, the 8-inch Cruz T408 and the 10-inch Cruz T410. Both models run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS instead of tablet-oriented Android 3.0 Honeycomb, though Velocity Micro has added a Honeycomb-like UI. They are powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM and come with 4GB internal storage.

While the Windows 7-powered Tablet P1 will come later this year, Lenovo will launch its IdeaPad Tablet K1 first, which is the first Android tablet certified to deliver Netflix video streaming. Powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 T20 1.GHz dual-core processor, the K1 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS with Lenovo’s custom UI and support for Adobe Flash Player 10.3. It comes preloaded with more than 40 apps from partners like Netflix, Amazon, Adobe, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Zinio, Dataviz, and others, including favorites like Need for Speed Shift, Angry Birds, Kindle reading app and Documents to Go.

EAFT Technologies from India introduces its MagicTile Marathon Android tablet. The 10.1-inch device is powered by 1GHz Tegra 2 processor with 512MB of memory. It runs Android 2.2. The Marathone comes with a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution and a 1.3 Megapixel camera.

Archos announced its G9 series Android tablets, including the 80 G9 and the 101 G9, both running Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. The G9 tablets are powered by TI’s OAP 4 processor with ARM Cortex dual-core A9 running at 1.5GHz. They can be equipped with either 16GB flash memory or a 250GB hard drive.

Toshiba is going to release its Thrive Android tablet in the US market in July. The Thrive is basically the US version of the company’s Regza Tablet announced for Japan two month before. It is powered by Tegra 2 dual core processor that can handle Full HD 1080p video playback and runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet-friendly OS.

Coby USAS is going to release its 10-inch Kyros MID1024 touchscreen internet tablet. Powered by Samsun’s 1GHz S5PV210 Cortex A8 processor, the MID1024 has 4GB internal memory. It features a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution and offers HDMI output allowing users to enjoy 1080p HD video in HDTV.
