Sony S-Frame DPF-HD1000

Sony expands its S-Frame line with the new HD Series frames that not only shows images but also include Full HD 1920×1080/60p video playback capability. The HD Series includes 10-inch DPF-HD1000, 8-inch DPF-HD800 and 7-inch DPF-HD700. All of the have LED-backlit LCD display. The 10-inch model has WSVGA resolution while the other two models have WVGA screen. AVCHD and MP4 video formats are supported.

Sony, other than the flagship XR100 and VR100, introduces eleven new S-Frame digital photo frames ranging from 7-inch to 10-inch. All these S-Frames, except DPF-E710, have illuminated Sony logo on the panel bezel that will disappears automatically when frame is positioned vertically in portrait position.

ViewSonic launches in total seven digital photo frames that are available in either 8-inch or 10-inch screen sizes.

The ViewSonic VFM840-52 is a 8-inch frame with 800×600 screen with LED-backlight and 512MB internal memory. The VFM842-52, also a 8-inch 800×600 digiframe, supports audio and video playback. The 8-inch VFP858-51 features a touchscreen and supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for accessing photo sharing sites.

Other than new FinePix cameras, FujiFilm launches three new digital photo frames, the 10.2-inch DP-1020SH, the 8.5-inch DP-850SH and the 7-inch DP-700SH. The screen of DP-1020SH has 1024×600 resolution and 2000:1 contrast while the ASV LCD displays of the other two models offer 800×480 and 1000:1 contrast.
