Edmunds has done a full test on the 2008 Lotus Elise SC Convertible. The Elise SC is powered by a new supercharged 1.8-liter engine that can produce 218 horsepower at 7800rpm.

Edmunds Inside Line has done a full test on the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. The C63 AMG is powered by a 6.2L v8 engine that can produce 451hp and 443 lb-ft of torquue. It can boost to 60mhp in 4.4 seconds.

Edmunds writes:
What Works:
Powerful 451-horsepower V8 engine; deep, burbling exhaust note any hot-rodder would kill for; driving character meant for high school hooligans.

What Needs Work:
AMG performance suspension too stiff for daily use; limited-slip differential only available with the performance suspension; floating speedo needle is hard to read, especially at night.

Bottom Line:
This is the most fun we’ve had in a Mercedes in a long time. Simply hearing the engine is a gut-level thrill.

Telsa Motors announced that the regular production of its 2008 Tesla Roadster has commenced. The 2008 model year is sold out and Telsa is taking reservation for 2009 model year.

Land Rover introduces the new 2008 Range Rover Westminster which comes with a 400-horsepower supercharged V8 engine. It is priced at $105,600.
Real wood is prevalent, as Land Rover incorporates a 14-piece lined oak extended wood veneer and a lined oak anthracite gear shift knob. The wood trim is further accentuated by special edition “java black” leather seats with tan inserts and tipping.

Here is a video giving us the first look at the 2008 Acura Advanced Sports Car Concept from Worldcarfans. The car has a a front-mounted, V-10 engine and a “a new high-performance, rear-wheel-drive based version of Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.

Although modern in its appearance, the Advanced Sports Car Concept retains the subtle cues associated with its predecessor, the NSX. The concept’s slim, LED headlights are pushed wide and designed to mimic the pop-up headlights found on the first generation NSX. Other styling hints include a modern take on wraparound rear taillights and the all black cockpit.
