JVC LT-32DR1BJ LCD HDTV

Other than LG’S 32LH4000, JVC’s LT-32DR1BJ is another 32-inch LCD HDTV with 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. It has a 40,000:1 contrast ratio, 500cd/m2 brightness, three HDMI 1.3a inputs and a USB port.

It’s great to see JVC making real strides forward when it comes to black level response – especially as this new improvement joins forces with JVC’s traditional strengths when it comes to resolution. When it’s at its best, the 32DR1BJ really can deliver some pretty spectacular pictures.

LG 32LH4000 LCD HDTV

LG’s 32LH4000 is a 32-inch LCD HDTV with 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. It features 500cd/m2 brigthness and 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It has three HDMI 1.3 inputs and a USB port for MP3/JPEG playback. You can also find PC input, component video input.etc. The 32LH4000 has 2×10W speakers.

TrustedReviews has reviewed the LG 32LH4000 and comments:
There are times – with bright, colourful and ideally HD fare – when the 32LH4000 produces the sort of pictures you’d feel chuffed to find on a TV costing twice as much. And it’s not a bad standard def performer either. Arguably, these strengths are already enough for a TV costing under £500. But some familiar weaknesses with black level and viewing angles together with a curious audio sync issue can’t help but take the gloss off what is, for much of the time, a quite stellar budget effort.
