Yamaha launches five new home theater in a box (HTiB) systems, including the YHT-893 with 730W totoal power; the YHT-693 and YHT-593 with 625W power, the YHT-493 and YHT-393 with 600W total power. Except the 7.1-channel YHT-893, all other models offer 5.1-channel output.

Sony BDV-E800W Blu-ray Home Cinema System

Sony launches three new Blu-ray home theater systems in Europe market, including the previously mentioned BDV-E300, and BDV-E800W and the more compact BDV-Z7. All these systems feature BD-Live, 24p with x.v.Colour, Full HD video output, 1080p upscaling for DVDs.

Onkyo HT-S7200 7.1-channel Home Theater System

Onkyo announced two new 7.1-channel home theater systems, the HT-S7200 and HT-S6200. Both model include 7.1-channel speaker system with a active subwoofer and provide 130 watt-per-channel amplification. The new Dolby ProLogic IIz processing is also supported.

In addition to new standalone Blu-ray players, Sony introduces also the BDV-E300 and BDV-E500W Blu-ray home theater systems. Both models support BD-Live and 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio audio codecs.
