Sanyo offers the Xacti DMX-HD700, a HD camcorder that can capture 720p HD videos. Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 features a 7 Megapixel CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom, an ISO rating up to 3200. It has a 2.7-inch LCD display.

The HD700 records 720p HD videos in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format on SD memory cards. It supports the SDHC cards up to 8GB.

Aiptek is going to launch GO-HD, a 720P HD digital camcorder on 28 May. Aiptek GO-HD has a 5 Megapixee image sensor and 3X optical zoom. It ca record 1280 x 720 H.264 Video at 30fps in QuickTime format. With a 8GB SDHC, you can record up to 4 hours of High Definition video.

Aiptek GO-HD has also a a 270 degree Swivel-Reversible 2.4″ TFT Color LCD display, night shot feature, 2-inch Macro zoom, red eye reduction, and HDTV component output.

As a HD camcorder, the GO-HD is really small. It measures  4.5″ x 2.75″ x 1.25″ and weighs 7.5ounces.

Other than the C-LUX 2, Leica presents also the new D-LUX 3 compact digital camera. The 10 Megapixel D-LUX 3 camera features a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 6.3–25.2 mm f/2.8–4.9 ASPH lens with 4x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom,, ISO up to 1600, MEGA optical image stabilization, and a 2.8-inch LCD screen.

The Leica D-LUX 3 can record 16:9 1280×720 videos at 15fps or 848×480 at 30fps. If you don’t like 16:9 aspect ratio, you can instead use the D-LUX 3 to capture 4:3 640×480 videos at 30 fps. The D-LUX 3 supports PictBridge and DPOF. It accepts SD and MMC cards.

Like other Leica compact cameras, this D-LUX 3 and the C-LUX 2 are pretty much based on Panasonic’s Lumix cameras.
