Asus introduces at the Computex 2011 a ultra slim notebook that measures just 17mm at its thickest part. The new UX21 series has an aluminum alloy body and weighs just 1.1kg. It is powered by up to Core i7 processor. You can also expect SATA 6Gb/s SSD storage and USB 3.0 port.

At the Computex 2011, Asus introduces its Padfone, a combo of a tablet and a smartphone. The package includes a 10.1-inch tablet dock and a 4.3-inch smartphone, both running Android OS. The Padfone offers seamless transition of applications between pad and phone. Only one SIM card is need for the pad and the phone.

Asus introduces a USB 3.0 external Blu-ray burner, the BW-12D1S-U with up to 12x Blu-ray writing speed. The burner uses USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface to double transmission speed compared with USB 2.0 and uses OTS technology to deliver 12x Blu-ray burning speed. It includes support for Blu-ray 3D technology.

Asus expands its super-slim Designo Series with three new LED-backlit LCD displays – the 21.5-inch ML229H, 23-inch ML239H, and 24-inch ML249H. Unlike the old Designo monitors based on TN panel, Asus’s new ML models use IPS or VA LCD panels.
