Sony announced at the CES its new Walkman Z1000 series Mobile Entertainment Players running Android OS. As Sony’s first MP3 player/PMP with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Walkman Z player is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. It has an anti-reflective 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD display.

eMatic launches three new MP3 players, the eSportsClip, Prism-e8 and JR-e6, all come in dynamic life-style colors. All three models come with 5 Megapixel digital camera with LED flash for users to take photos and capture video. They all support playback of MP3, WAV, WMA audio formats as wel as MP4, AVI, FLC video and JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF images. You can also find FM radio.

Creative introduces a new MP3 player, the ZEN X-Fi3, follow-up to the X-Fi2, with Bluetooth connectivity. The new compact players features a 2-inch LCD display with touch-buttons. It supports, in addition to MP3, WAV, WMA, Audible 4, the FLAC lossless audio format as well as iTunes Plus – also known as unprotected AAC (.m4a). With Bluetooth support, the player can connect with Bluetooth-enabled headphones and speakers for wireless music playback.

Cowon has revealed the new C2 portable media player, replacing the D2. The compact C2 gets a 2.6-inch 320×240 color LCD display, 4GB/8GB/16GB storage capacity, built-in speaker and microSD card slot. It is equipped with FM radio tuner and T-DMB tuner.

Philips introduces the new GoGear Muse 3 portable media player. Available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, the new Muse has a 3.2-inch LCD display. It features the FullSound technology and sound isolation earphones that block out background noise to providing clear and detailed music experience. It also includes the Surround for Movie to deliver cinematic movie sounds.

Cowon is launching its new Cowon 3D, the world’s first 3D portable media player. It comes with a 4.8-inch large glassess-free 3D display with 800×480 resolution and offers a 3D UI. It supports Full HD 1080p video playback and provides HDMI output.

Cowon is launching in Korea the new D3 plenue Android-based portable media player. The D3 runs Android 2.1 OS with a customized UI. It features a 3.7-inch 800×480 AMOLED touchscreen and built-in T-DMB tuner for receiving mobile TV broadcasting. The D3 plenue is able to handle Full HD 1080p video playback.
