Finally, Verizon officially unveils the Motorola DROID 2 Android smartphone, the successor to the successful and popular DROID. The new DROID gets a new look, which I think is less attractive than the original DROID/Milestone. The DROID 2 features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, just like the original DROID, but with a new, improved layout. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs the Android 2.2 and includes Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and 3G Mobile Hotspot function.

HTC Desire HD running Froyo

Over at Hong Kong Uwants forum, a guy has posted a image showing the upcoming HTC Desire HD (HTC Ace) with the Android 2.2 Froyo. As you can see, the new Desire HD is basically the WCDMA/HSPA version of the HTC EVO 4G getting the same 4.3-inch large WVGA touchscreen. It seems Dell is going to release a bunch of smartphones in 2010 and one of them is the Flash that is expected to run Android 2.2 Froyo OS with Dell’s Stage UI. The device is boosted by Qualcomm MSM7230 800MHz processor, and gets 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM.
