HTC Jetstream LTE HSPA+ Android Tablet for AT&T

 

HTC is going to release the Jetstream, its first tablet running the tablet-oriented Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. Exclusive to AT&T customers, the Jetstream supports LTE/HSPA+ 4G network and is available for $699.99 with a new two-year contract. The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8260 SnapDragon 1.5GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM.

Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1 Android 3.1 Tablet angle

 

While the Windows 7-powered Tablet P1 will come later this year, Lenovo will launch its IdeaPad Tablet K1 first, which is the first Android tablet certified to deliver Netflix video streaming. Powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 T20 1.GHz dual-core processor, the K1 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS with Lenovo’s custom UI and support for Adobe Flash Player 10.3. It comes preloaded with more than 40 apps from partners like Netflix, Amazon, Adobe, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Zinio, Dataviz, and others, including favorites like Need for Speed Shift, Angry Birds, Kindle reading app and Documents to Go.

Toshiba is going to release its Thrive Android tablet in the US market in July. The Thrive is basically the US version of the company’s Regza Tablet announced for Japan two month before. It is powered by Tegra 2 dual core processor that can handle Full HD 1080p video playback and runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet-friendly OS.

Sony S1 and S2 Android 3.0 Tablets Revealed

 

Sony announced that it is developing two tablets, codenamed S1 and S2, running Android 3.0. The Sony Tablets support WiFi and 3G/4G connectivity. The S1 is a 9.4-inch tablet with an “off-center of gravity design that realizes stability and ease of grip as well as a sense of stability and lightness”. On the other hand, the S2 features two 5.5-inch touchscreens that can be folded for easy portability.

While most Android 3.0 tablets announced is last few months, such as XOOM, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Optimus Pad, come in 10-inch screen size, Acer is going to bring a 7-inch one called ICONIA Tab A100.  The 7-inch multitouch touchscreen of the A100 has 1024×600 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is equipped with NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 2 processor to drive the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS.

Ainol, a Chinese PMP maker, is planning an Android 3.0 tablet powered by Cortex-A9-based processor. It is said that the tablet will be getting 1GHz processor with 512MB of memory. It comes with a 1280×760 touchscreen. As the leaked shots show, the Ainol’s Honeycomb tablet will come in white. It has physical buttons instead of touch-sensitive buttons, a front camera for video chat, a microSD card slot, HDMI output and a built-in kickstand.
