It sports the same Qualcomm MSM8655 SnapDragon 1GHz processor and also gets 512MB RAM and 2GB ROM.

Kyocera announced at the CTIA Wireless 2012 its new Hydro C5170 waterproof Android smartphone. It is IPX5 certified for protection against sprayed water such as rain, and is also IPX7 certified for protection against immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. The phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon MSM8655 processor with 512MB RAM and 2GB ROM. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Swype keyboard pre-loaded.

Finally, Samsung unveiled its long-waited, long-rumored flagship Galaxy S III smartphone. In addition to the Eluga, Panasonic also announced at the Eluga Power smartphone for the European market. As its name tells, the Eluga Power will be more powerful than its little brother. Boosted by Qualcomm’s SnapDragon S4 dual-core 1.5GHz processor, the handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It features a slim form factor measuring just 9.6mm thick and is a lightweight big-screen device at just 133g.

ZTE Skate Acqua

At the MWC 2012, ZTE introduces four new smartphones that are heading to the Europe market, including the Skate Acqua, Kis, Blade II and the previously announced Mimosa X. All these phones use Android 4.0 Ice Cream operating system and will come with ZTE’s Mifavor custom user interface. All these smartphones support Bluetooth and WiFi and offers Dolby sound and HD Voice.

ZTE introduces at the MWC 2012 in Barcelona a quad-core smartphone, the Era with a ultra slim form factor. At just 7.8mm thick, the Era packs NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor, which features the unique 4-PLUS-1 quad-core architecture with a fifth battery saver core to better battery life. In addition to the high-end 4-core One X, mid-range One V, HTC also brings the One V smartphone for the masses. The One V utilizes the classic design of the company’s Legend and Hero featuring an iconic unibody design. The phone is boosted by a single-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB onboard storage and supports microSD/SDHC cards.

While the One X is a quad-core powerful phone, its brother One S is “for people who want a high-end smartphone in a more compact size.” Boosted by Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, the One S runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4 with 1GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. The handset also has a metal unibody with a ultra slim 7.9mm design, making it HTC’s thinnest phone yet. It is the mid-range model in the One Series, sitting between the 4-core One X and the single-core One V.

The HTC One X is the quad-core member in the company’s newest One family of smartphones. The device is housed in a “beautifully crafted polycarbonate unibody that has the ruggedness of metal but is super lightweight.” The unibody has seamless construction and a high gloss piano finish and a matte back.
