Research In Motion (RIM) offcially announced the BlackBerry 8800 Smartphone. The BlackBerry 8800 is a quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled phone and has built-in WiFi and GPS receiver, a large 320 x 240 LCD display, Bluetooth 2.0, a QWERTY keyboard.

The 8800 has also a media player supporting both audio and video playback, 64MB Flash memory and a microSD card slot.

It will be available in FED 2007 via some carriers.

T-Mobile is going to launch a White BlackBerry Pearl. The BlackBerry Pearl features a 240 x 260 TFT display, 1.3-megapixel camera. The phone has 64MB Flash memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, a SureType keypad. The spec of the White Pearl will probably be the same.
According to our sources, it’s not a flat color, but a pearly white that “shines” — a little more glitzy than the solid black we’re used to seeing on this sucker. Look for the phone to launch this coming Monday for the same price as its darker sibling (we hope).

The Blackberry 8800 features a full QWERTY keyboard, a trackball, and it supports WiFi, microSD. However there is no more trackwheel on the side and there is no camera. will not be released before the end of this year. As you can see in the image below, there are three version of it, probably for different operators.

The device runs on a 312MHz Intel PXA901 processor with 16MB of SRAM and 64MB of Flash memory.
