Acer announced two new models in its Aspire AS8943G line, the AS8943G-9319 and AS8943G-9429. Both of them are equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD5850 graphics card with 2GB of dedicated video memory. They have a 18.4-inch Full HD 1080p LED-backlit LCD display.

Sony VAIO TT Series Notebook

Sony introduces the new VAIO TT series laptop PC that is the world’s lightest Blu-ray notebook. The VAIO TT is housed in a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis and features a 11.1-inch XBRITE-DuraView LCD display.

Based on Intel’s Centrino 2 technology, the VAIO TT comes with integrated Blu-ray disc drive and dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) SSD with RAID set-up. TT integrates also the WWAN module for connecting Sprint Mobile Broadband Network (EV-DO Rev. A).

The VAIO TT series offers HDMI output connector and LED backlit LCD. The TT series starts at $2000. The Blu-ray version will cost $2700 while the SSD version for $2,750.
