Buffalo AirStation WZR-D1800H 802.11ac Router

Following Netgear’s R6300, Buffalo also announced its 802.11ac wireless router, the AirStation WZR-D1800H that is also based on Broadcom’s 5G WiFi chips. With support for 802.11ac, the router, according to Buffalo offers speeds up to three times faster than 802.11n, while maintaining backward compatibility with 802.11a/b/g/n.

Buffalo MiniStation Extreme

Buffalo announced two new USB 3.0 storage solutions, the MiniStation Extreme and the DriveStation Axis Velocity, both utilizes USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface to deliver enhanced performance. The MiniStation Extreme is a rugged, portable hard drive with attractive design and high-quality finish, a rubberized base and lightweight form factor, while the DriveStation Axis Velocity is a desktop hard drive equipped with 7200RPM hard drive and has a unique chassis design that can stand upright or lay flat allowing for placement just about anywhere.

Buffalo RUF3-JMS

Buffalo is going to release in Japan in July four new RUF3 series USB 3.0 flash drives, coming in different colors and designs. The male-oriented RUF3-JMS and the RUF3-JW for women both have a capless design. The former is available in Night Color Black, Silver Moon, Earth Brown, Ocean Bluecolors and comes in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities (Only Black and Silver get 32GB and 64GB), while the RUF3-JW is offered in Rich Brown, Gloss Pink, Royal White and Shiny Coral colors with 8GB or 16GB density.

Buffalo Technology is launching its MiniStation Plus USB 3.0 portable storage devices. Using USB 3.0 interface, Buffalo’s new drive offers transfer speed up to 5Gbps. There are 500GB HD-PNT500U3 and 1TB HD-PNT1.0U3 models.

Buffalo announced in Japan a new slim external Blu-ray burner, the BRXL-PC6U2-BK with support for high-capacity BDXL media. The BDXL is triple-layer/quad-layer Blu-ray Disc format that offers 100GB/125GB of capacity. Buffalo’s slim burner can write BD-R QL and BD-R TL at up to 4X as well as BD-R, BD-R DL at 6x, BD-RE and BD-RE TL/DL at 2x.

Buffalo launches in the UK three new external hard drives – the  glossy, piano-black MiniStation HD-PCU2, black glossy DriveStation HD-LBU2, and the DriveStation USB 3.0 HD-LBU3. The new portable MiniStation is available in 320GB and 500GB capacities. It uses USB 2.0 interface and works with PC and Mac. The DriveStation HD-LBU2 also uses USB 2.0 and comes in 1TB and 2TB densities.
