Sanyo has announced its latest HD camcorder, VPC-HD2 which is the successor of the Sanyo VPC-HD1, the world’s smallest HD camcorder. The Sanyo VPC-HD2 can capture pictures up to 7 Megapixel, and it has a 2.2-inch LCD screen, 10x of optical zoom, support for 16:9 mode and SDHC cards up to 8GB. The HD camcorder will ship with a docking station and has a HDMI out.

It is expected to be available in March with a price of about $700.

JVC announced the HD Everio GZ-HD7 which the first consumer full HD High-Definition 3-CCD camcorder. The JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7 can record fullHD images (1920 x 1080i) thanks to the 16:9 Progressive Scan CCD. Fujinon lens is used in this HD Everio GZ-HD7 camcorder. It has HDMI, USB 2.0 and iLink (IEEE 1394) connections and there is a built-in 60GB hard drive for storage. It is expected to hit stores in April with a price tag of $1799.95.

Panasonic presents two new video camcorder, the VDR-D310 and the NV-GS320.

The Panasonic VDR-D310 is a DVD camcorder which supports DVD Dual Layer DVD-R/RW and DVD RAM. There are 3 recording modes, XP at 10Mbps, SP at 5Mbps and LP at 2.5Mbps. The Panasonic NV-GS320 is a traditional MiniDV camcroder which supports SD/SDHC. Both of them features a 3CCD sensor with Mega OIS and you can take photos up to 3 Megapixel.

JVC adds the GR-D750 to its miniDV camcorder lineup. The JVC GR-D750 has a 2.7-inch LCD control screen, a 34x optical zoom lens, a 1/6 CCD sensor with 0.68Mpix for video and 0.34Mpix for photo. The camcorder supports both 6:9 and 4:3 formats.

Today, Panasonic unveiled the HDC-SD1 supporting Full HD Recording. The HDC-SD1 camcorder features a 3CCD sensor with Leica Lens, 1080i FULL HD (1920×1080) video recording, Dolby 5.1 audio recording synchronized on the zoom [ie.the more you zoom, the more the audio will be focused on the subject], HDMI support, 3 different VBRs (6, 9 and 13Mbps) and s 3-inch LCD. You can record 40minutes of video on a 4GB SDHC at 13Mbps and 90minutes at 6Mbps.

JVC its new pocket camcorder for its EVERIO series. eThe camcorder comes with a Harddisk drive and it should be HD ready and with a 3CCD sensor. It would probably be the first compact HD camcorder with a hard disk on the market.
