Pentax has released its K2000 (aka K-m) Digital SLR (DSLR) camera last month. The Pentax K2000/K-m is a 10.2 Megapixel DSLR with ISO sensitivity up to 3200, Shake Reduction system, Advanced Auto Picture mode and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

The new Pentax K-m is another excellent addition to Pentax’s DSLR range. Seamlessly slotting in below the K200D, it offers a simpler and more intuitive layout that will suit beginners better.
The K-m even improves on the more expensive K200D in some areas, notably a faster continuous shooting speed of 3.5 fps, expanded ISO range of 100-3200, and a less cluttered main menu system. Admittedly there are some downgrades, most notably the 5 point AF system which makes it more difficult to track moving subjects, slightly less powerful pop-up flash and the complete lack of any Live View or Digital Preview functionality (the K200D offers the latter).

Nikon made its D3X digital SLR (DSLR) camera, the successor of the D3, official,. The D3X is Nikon’s high-end flagship DSLR camera. It features a 24.5 Megapixel CMOS FX format image sensor, ISO sensitivity from 1000 to 1600 (expandable to 50-6400), and Nikon’s newly enhanced EXPEED Image Processing System. It can do full resolution at up to 5fps.
