Panasonic officially announced its new LUMIX DMC-GF3, its smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens camera with a built-in flash. Based on Micro Four Thirds standard, the mirror-less camera delivers “all the features desired from a traditional DSLR interchangeable lens camera” in a ultra compact, lightweight body, weighing just 7.83oz. It is 16.7% smaller and 16.2% lighter than its predecessor, the LUMIX GF2, according to Panasonic.

Panasonic expands its LUMIX G Micro System line with the new DMC-G3 Micro Four Thirds camera, follow-up to the LUMIX G2, featuring 16 Megapixel Live MOS image sensor. The new camera uses Micro Four Thirds mount and is compatible with LUMIX G lenses as well as any interchangeable lens that complies with the Four Thirds System standard via an optional mount adapter.

Canon VB-M40

Canon expands its surveillance camera family with its first 1.3 Megapixel IP security cameras, the VB-M40 pan/tilt/zoom network camera with a 20x Genuine Canon zoom lens; the VB-M600VE fixed vandal-resistant IP66 rated outdoor network dome camera; and the VB-M600D fixed network dome camera. All three models feature 1.3 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, and conform to the widely accepted ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) network-interoperability standard.

Olympus introduces two new compact long zoom digital cameras, the VR-330 and VR-320 with a 24mm wide angle 12.5x optical zoom lens. The VR-330 and VR-320 are equipped with a 14 Megapixel image sensor and features dual image stabilization for blur-free image,720p HD video recording capability and a 3-inch LCD display.

Olympus SZ-30MR

Following the 18x zoom SZ-10, Olympus has just announced in Europe market two more ultra zoom digital camera, including the new SZ-30MR.  It is the first camera ever to offer simultaneous recording of 1080p Full HD movies and 16 Megapixel still photos, thanks to Olympus’ Multi Recording technology with Dual Engine TruePic III+ image processor.

Olympus expands its TOUGH line with the new TG-810 ultra-rugged “four-proof” digital camera. Designed to capture all of your extreme adventures, no matter where you go, the camera is shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof and crushproof. It can be submerged up to 33-feet under water, withstand a 6.6-foot drop, and operate when the temperature dips well below freezing (14 degrees Fahrenheit; -10 degrees Celsius). It has a airtight construction that is impervious to dust, dirt and other particles.

Pentax introduces a new compact digital camera, the Optio S1 with an eye-catching, gem-like finish. The new S1 has a ultra lightweight body and comes in striking Chrome or a glossy Black or Green. The 14 Megapixel S1 sports a 28mm wide angle 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD display. It features Sensor-shift PENTAX Shake Reduction (SR) system, PENTAX Auto Picture mode, Fast Face Detection, Smile Capture and High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode.

In addition to the EX-ZR100 high-speed shooting camera, Casio also brings the Exilim Hi-Zoom EX-H30. In fact, the H30 looks just like the ZR100 and offers similar features, but lacks high-speed shooting capability. Instead of back-illuminated CMOS used on ZR100, the H30 sports a 16.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor. It gets the same 12.5x optical zoom lens with 24mm wide angle and uses the Single Frame SR Zoom to extend the zoom range to 18.8x.
