Other than the new 2012 VIXIA HF M-series, Canon also introduces the new VIXIA HF R32, VIXIA HF R30 and VIXIA HF R300 Full HD digital camcorders, which according to the company are to provide ideal combination of price and performance for budget-conscious consumers don’t want to sacrifice on features. All three models sport 3.28 Megapixel Canon Full HD CMOS image sensor, DIGIC DV III processor, a Genuine Canon HD Video Lens with 51x Advanced Zoom and a 3-inch touchscreen display for easy control. They record Full HD 1920x1080p videos in MP4 or AVCHD format.

Canon introduces its 2012 series VIXIA HD camcorders, including three compact HF M-series models – VIXIA HF M52, VIXIA HF M50 and VIXIA HF M500. These three new camcorders have lightweight body and compact design. They all support Full HD 1920×1080 video and feature a Canon 10x HD video lens, enhanced HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor for high video resolution, outstanding low-light performance and a wide dynamic range; ad DIGIC DV III image processor.

Canon announced two new compact XF-Series professional camcorders, the XF105 and XF100, which are the camera maker’s smallest professional camcorders. Both of them are equipped with Canon’s Full HD 1920×1080 CMIS image sensor and uses the Canon XF Codec, which is an “MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec used for exceptional high-definition image quality, full non-linear editing (NLE) systems compatibility and efficient, robust workflow.”

Canon launches in the US the new VIXIA HF M32 Full HD dual flash memory camcorder. The M32 sports a 3.89 Megapixel HD CMOS Image Sensor and a Genuine Canon HD Video Lens with 15x optical zoom and 18x advanced zoom. It can record Full HD 1920×1080 video at up to 24Mbps.

Update: Canon’s new firmware upgrades the XF300-series camcorders to include Canon’s 3D Assist Function that allows two units to be easily set up for 3D HD video, as well as an updated Scan Reverse function, Double Slot Recording for instantaneous backup, and the option to disable Relay Recording.

Canon announced the XF305 and XF300 professional camcorders that employ an MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec – Canon XF Codec – for capturing and recording native 1920 x 1080 video onto affordable, universally available Compact Flash (CF) cards.

Canon VIXIA FS31

Other than the VIXIA Full HD camcorders, Canon brings also the FS31 and the FS300 standard definition camcorders. The former comes with 16GB internal memory while the latter has no internal storage and both of them also record to SD/SDHC memory cards.

Canon VIXIA HF R11

In addition to the premiere HF-S series and HF-M series, Canon launches the more budget-priced VIXIA HF R11, VIXIA HF R10 and VIXIA HF R100 flash memory based Full HD camcorders. These camcorders feature a 2.39 Megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC DV III Image Processor and Canon 20x zoom HD Video Lens.

Canon VIXIA HF M31

Canon brings three new VIXIA HF M-series camcorders, the M31, M30 and the M300. All of them utlize flash memory for storage, like the three new HF S-series camcorders, but has a more sleek, compact and lightweight body.

Canon introduces the VIXIA HF S21 and HD 21 and the VIXIA HD S200 flash memory Full HD camcorders, that are the follow-up to the company’s HF S11, HF S10, HF S100. These camcorders feature 8.59 Megapixel Full HD CMOS image sensor for capturing Full HD video and up to 8 Megapixel still images.

Canon presents the new VIXIA HF S11 dual flash memory digital camcorder that is capable of Full HD video recording. As the successor of the S10, the VIXIA HF S11 has 64GB internal flash memory that is enough for up to 24 hours of HD video.
