Canon PowerShot A1300 Black

Another two new additions to the A-series, the PowerShot A1300 and PowerShot A810 are cameras powered by AA batteries. Each of them sports a 16 Megapixel image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle and a 2.7-inch LCD display. The A1300 also comes equipped with an optical viewfinder for the more traditional camera users.

Canon PowerShot A2400 IS Blue

Along with the A4000 IS and A3400 IS, Canon also brings the PowerShot A2400 IS and the PowerShot A2300 digital cameras. Both models are equipped with 16 Megapixel image sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle. The A2400 IS features Optical Image Stabilizer and Intelligent IS function that automatically optimizes image stabilization, while the A2300 has Digital IS.

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Blue

Canon introduces its new PowerShot A-series digital cameras for entry-level users to learn the joy of photography. The new flagship models in the A-series are the PowerShot A4000 IS and PowerShot A3400 IS models with Canon’s Intelligent IS function, which will automatically selects the most effective image stabilization mode to capture the best results.

Canon introduces two new long-zoom digital cameras, the PowerShot SX260 HS and the PowerShot SX240 HS. Both have a sleek and compact design, yet packs Canon’s 25mm wide angle 20x optical zoom lens with 4-stop optical Image Stabilizer. According to Canon, the new models are its slimmest 20x zoom camera. The SX260 comes with built-in GPS chip for tagging each picture with the local time and location it was taken automatically. The Map Utility software also lets you to view your journey on Google Maps.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 520 HS

Canon introduces two new compact digital cameras, the PowerShot ELPH 520 HS and the PowerShot ELPH 110 HS. Both of them are equipped with DIGIC5 image processor for high-quality images, and HS SYSTEM that lets you take bright, clear photos in an even wider range of shooting situations. They also include the new Advanced Smart AUTO, which detects up to 58 scenes varying from non-human moving subjects to people, landscapes, pets and vehicles, helping the camera determine the best mode of shooting.

At the CES 2012, Canon adds to its PowerShot line the new flagship PowerShot G1 X prosumer digital camera. Featuring a 1.5-inch 14.3 Megapixel Canon CMOS image sensor, the G1 X gets the largest sensor to date for a PowerShot camera to deliver “approximately nine times more light sensitivity and helping to produce amazing depth-of-field and high-quality images in tough low-light conditions”. The new camera has a 4x optical zoom Canon lens.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS Black

In addition to the SX150 IS, Canon also introduces the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS (aka IXUS 1100 HS in Europe) and ELPH 310 HS (aka IXUS 230 HS in Europe) digital cameras with the HS SYSTEM that combines a 12.1-megapixel, high-sensitivity CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor to enhance image quality in low-light settings. The HS SYSTEM also educes noise at high ISO speeds and expands the camera’s dynamic range to allow for greater detail and color when shooting in darker settings.

Canon brings a new 12x super-zoom digital camera, the PowerShot SX150 IS with 12x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle lens. The 14.1 Megapixel camera features Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor and offers manual-shooting capabilities, such as aperture priority and shutter priority for optimal artistic control. It gets a large 3-inch LCD display for easy viewing.

Along with the EOS 600D / Rebel T3i, Canon brings also the EOS 1100D / Rebel T3 / Kiss X50 entry-level digital SLR camera providing a more attractively priced option for those looking to experience the pleasure of shooting with a DSLR camera. Like the 600D, the 1100D also offers Feature Guide.

Canon announced the new EOS 600D / Rebel T3i / Kiss X5 entry-level digital SLR camera, which is the successor to the EOS Rebel T2i / 550D. Designed for beginning photographers, the 600D/T3i includes the new Feature Guide instruction that will walk Rebel T3i users through functions and provide recommendations for various settings, a great hands-on learning tool; and the Scene Intelligent Auto mode for point-and-shoot users.
