Canon introduces a new digital SLR camera, the EOS 5D Mark III, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the EOS system. The new model sits between the 5D Mark II and the top model EOS 1D X. It is equipped with a newly designed 22.3 Megapixel full-frame CMOS image sensor and DIGIC 5+ image processor for enhanced noise reduction and processing speed.

Canon announced the new EOS 600D / Rebel T3i / Kiss X5 entry-level digital SLR camera, which is the successor to the EOS Rebel T2i / 550D. Designed for beginning photographers, the 600D/T3i includes the new Feature Guide instruction that will walk Rebel T3i users through functions and provide recommendations for various settings, a great hands-on learning tool; and the Scene Intelligent Auto mode for point-and-shoot users.

Canon brings the EOS 60D digital SLR camera as the follow-up to the EOS 50D. The new 60D is equipped with a 18 Megapixel Canon CMOS image sensor, the DIGIC 4 image processor, and for the first time on an EOS camera, a 3-inch Vari-Angle Clear View LCD screen.

Canon China introduces the EOS 550D Jackie Chan Eye of Dragon special edition. The camera body comes with gold Dragon logo of Jackie Chan, who is Canon’s spokesperson in China. The Jackie Chan kit includes a Canon EF-S 180145MM lens, a camera case, a strap and an album book, all with Jackie’s logo (except the lens).

Canon announced its new EOS-1D Mark IV digital SLR camera, which is the successor to the EOS-1D Mark III. The 1D Mark IV features a 16 Megapixel Canon CMOS image sensor and is boosted by Dual DIGIC 4 Imaging processor.

Canon officially announced its new Rebel T1i (known as EOS 500D in Asia and Europe markets and EOS Kiss X3 in Japan) digital SLR camera which is able to do HD video capture. As the successor of the EOS 450D/Rebel Xsi, he Rebel T1i/EOS 500D features a 15.1 Megapixel CMOS APS-C size CMOS image sensor and the new DIGIC 4 image processor. It offers ISO speeds from 100 to 3200 along with two additional high-speed ISO settings – H1: 6400 and H2: 12800.
