Canon PowerShot ELPH 530 HS White

Canon announced for the US market two new PowerShot ELPH digital cameras, the flagship long-zoom ELPH 530 HS measuring just 0.78-inch thick and the ELPH 320 HS. Both models are equipped with WiFi connectivity allowing users to upload photos and videos to the Canon iMAGE GATEWAY online services or to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, directly from the camera.

In addition to the long zoom, GPS-equipped PowerShot SX230 HS, Canon introduces also the stylish PowerShot ELPH 500 HS (known as IXUS 310 HS in Europe and as IXY 31S in Japan) digital camera with a touch panel LCD. With a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor, the camera comes with the HS SYSTEM technology to enhance image quality in low-light situations without the need for a flash.

Canon announced also the new IXY Digital 90 digital camera. Actually the IXY 90 has exactly the same features as the IXY 10. It also has a a 7.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, DIGIC image processor, 3x optical zoom, ISO up to 1600, Face Catch Technology, PictBridge support and a SD card slot supporting also SDHC.

The only difference one of the differences are the size and weight. The IXY 90 measures 91.6×56.8×19.6mm and weights 130g while the IXY 10 measures 85.9×53.5×19.4mm and weights 125g. It will also be available in Mid March. Another differnce is the LCD screen size, the IXY90 has 3-inch one while the IXY 10 one is only 2.5-inch.

Canon announced the new IXY Digital 10 digital camera. The Canon IXY Digital 10 has a 7.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, DIGIC image processor and 3x optical zoom. Other features include a 2.5-inch LCD screen, ISO up to 1600, Face Catch Technology, PictBridge support and a SD card slot supporting also SDHC.

The Canon IXY Digital 10 measures 85.9×53.5×19.4mm and weights 125g. It will be available in Mid March.
