SONY announces 8GB Compact Vault Drive

Sony unveiled today the Compact Vault 8GB removable harddisk drive. The new drive is compatible with Compact Flash type II slots. The transfer speed of the 8GB Compact Vault Drive can be up to 12MB/S. The 8GB space can hold up to 2560 JPEG images at 3MB each or 320 minutes of MPEG4 video. The target of the product will be photo enthusiasts and pro-consumers who consume a lot of memory.
