NotebookReview has reviewed the Compaq Presario v6000z laptop PC. The Compaq Presario v6000z is powered by a Mobile AMD Semprom 3500+ 1.8GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, NVidia GeForce Go 6150 graphic. It has 40GB of harddrive, a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, a 15.4′ WXGA Widescreen LCD with 1280×800 resolution and WiFi 802.11b/g.

* Very quiet
* Better than expected performance
* Power supply is small and light
* Good quality screen
* NVidia graphics chip and driver (helps improve screen color)
* Horizontal viewing angles are good
* Keyboard is firm and responsive
* Touchpad scroll feature almost always works
* Wireless on/off manual switch
Cons:
* Touchpad buttons sink into the case (takes a lot to push them)
* No latch on screen lid
* Small and easily covered up system indicator lights
* Only 2 USB 2.0 ports (one on each side)
* CD drive eject button placed at an awkward angle and blends into case
