In addition to the slimline TX1, Sony brings also the Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 compact point-and-shoot camera. Like the TX1, the WX1 packs Sony’s Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor with 10.2 Megapixel resolution. It has a 5x zoom Sony G lens with 24mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Sony announced the new Cyber-Shot DSC-TX1 slim digital camera that is equipped with the Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which is optimizes for low-light shooting. The TX1 gets a 10.2 Megapixel sensor, a 4x zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, a 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display.

Sony Europe introduces the new Cyber-shot W190 and W180 slim, pocket-sized and stylish digital cameras. The W190 and W180 feature 12.1 Megapixel and 10.1 Megapixel image sensor respectively. They have 3X optical zoom and 17x (W180) or 18x (W190) digital zoom ability.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 is a 12 Megapixel digital camera with a touchscreen. The T900 features 4x optical zoom Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens, 8x digital zoom and a 3.5-inch touchscreen display. You can exepct Smile Detection, Face DetectionIntelligent scene recognition (iSCN) functions.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 is the first camera to feature Sony’s 1/2.4-inch Exmor CMOS sensor technology providing burst speeds of 10fps at full 9.1 megapixel resolution. The HX1 offers 20x super zoom, 28mm wide angle, Optical SteadyShot and face detection. It is able to record 1080p Full HD video.

The Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 has been reviewed by DPReview, who comments:
Looking at the market as a whole, with an emphasis on image quality, we just cannot give the Sony DSC-HX1 our highest recommendation, but it’s certainly worth consideration if you’re looking for a superzoom compact and can live with the inevitable image quality compromises.

Along with the H20, T90 and T900, Sony presents the Cyber-shot DSC-W290 and DSC-W230 entry-level compact digital cameras. Both of them are 12.1 Megapixel cameras. The W290 has a 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens while the W230 gets a 4x zoom lens. They have a 3-inch LCD display.

Other than the budget 10x zoom H20, Sony introduces the slim, compact Cyber-shot T90 (pictured above) and T900 compact touchscreen digital cameras. Both T90 and T900 have a 12.1 Megapixel image sensor, 4x Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar optical zoom lens, and functions like Smile Detection, Face Detection,  Intelligent scene recognition (iSCN). Both cameras can record 720p HD video at 30fps.
