Toshiba CAMILEO AIR10

At the CES 2012, Toshiba expands its CAMILEO line with the new CAMILEO AIR10 and CAMILEO CLIP Full HD camcorders. The former has WiFi connectivity for users to wirelessly upload videos and photos directly to their social network, while the latter enables users to conveniently film their adventures hands-free.

Vivitar releases the DVR 790HD 3D digital video recorder. Equipped with a 5.1 Megapixel image sensor, the camcorder has dual fixed focus lenses for 3D video and image capturing, and records video in 1280x720p resolution at 25fps. It also captures 5 Megapixel still images and features anti-shake, face detection.

Sony introduces in Europe two new standard definition digital camcorders, the Handycam SX21E and Handycam SR21E. Both camcorders are equipped with a 57x Optical Zoom lens by Sony and offer a powerful 67x Extended Zoom range. They have a flip-out 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD and built-in LED video light to illuminate indoor scenes or night-time shots.

Panasonic HDC-HS80

Along with the 3D-ready HDC-SD90 and HDC-TM90, Panasonic brings five more Full HD camcorder models, HDC-SD40, HDC-TM40, HDC-HS80, HDC-TM80, HDC-SD80. All of them are equipped with 1.5 Megapixel 1MOS image sensor for recording 1080/60p Full HD video, and 33.7mm wide angle lens.

Sony introduces three new Handycam Full HD camcorders with built-in LED-based projectors. The HDR-PJ50V has 220GB hard drive, while the HDR-PJ30V has 32GB flash memory and HDR-PJ10 has 16GB flash memory. All of them have a 3-inch flip-out Clear Photo LCD PLUS panel and a compact, LED projector is built into this LCD panel, which is able to project up to 60-inch images.

Sony introduced at the CES 2011 the Handycam HDR-TD10, the world’s first Double Full HD 3D consumer camcorder. The HDR-TD10 features an integrated dual lens system, which includes two of each key component – double Sony G Lenses, double Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS image sensors, and double BIONZ image processors to record 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video. The lenses offer 10x optical zoom in 3D mode.

JVC is going to release two more full HD camcorders, the GZ-HM450 and GZ-HM440 with a more affordable price. The former has 32GB internal flash memory and a single SDXC card slot while the HM440 has no internal storage but two SDXC slots. They are equipped with a 1.5 Megapixel CMOS sensor to crecord Full HD video and a KONICA MINOLTA HD LENS with 40x optical zoom.

JVC introduces at the CES 2011 the GS-TD1, the world’s first consumer camcorder to offer 3D recording in Full HD. It has two 3.32 Megapixel CMOS sensors and two 3D Twin HD GT lenses to capture 3D images much the same way that human eyes work. The camcorder is equipped with JVC’s new high-speed imaging engine that can simultaneously processe the two Full HD images – left and right images at 1920 x 1080i – within that single chip.

As CES 2011 is coming, Samsung has just made a pre-CES announcement about its new HMX-Q10 affordable Full HD digital camcorder. The camcorder includes Samsung’s newly developed Switch Grip technology, which ensures that when filming, the LCD screen adapts to how the camcorder body is being held allowing users to maintain perfect control over their video, whether they are left- or right-handed.
