LG unveiled in Korea its Optimus 3D Cube (LG-SU870) smartphone ahead of upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012. As the successor to the Optimus 3D, the new Cube has a thinner design at just 9.6mm thick, compare to 11.9mm of its predecessor. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

Samsung adds two new devices to its Galaxy smartphone line, the Galaxy Ace 2 and the Galaxy Mini 2 that are the follow-up to the Ace and Mini, respectively. Verizon has released the Motorola DROID 4, which is the thinnest 4G QWERTY smartphone. Introduced at the CES 2012, the DROID 4 is a 4G LTE mobile phone running Android 2.3.5 operating system. It is available from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a new 2-year contract.

Sprint launches the Frost White version of the Samsung Epic 4G Touch Galaxy S II smartphone. The Epic 4G Touch, unlike the original Epic 4G, comes without physical QWERTY keyboard but a large 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus 800×480 touchscreen. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1.2Ghz dual core processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with the iconic TouchWiz UI.

Samsung is adding to the GALAXY line the new mid-range GALAXY S Advance smartphone. The new phone, as its name tells, is an advanced version of the GALAXY S. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM. It will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The Advanced GALAXY S has a curved glass design that enhances handling of the phone and fits the user’s facial form easily and naturally.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD has been unveiled at the AT&T Developer Summit. Not to be confused with the original Galaxy S II Skyrocket, the new HD model features a large 4.65-inch 1280×720 HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display. Heading to AT&T, the Skyrocket HD supports the carrier’s 4G LTE mobile network for high-speed data.

It includes all the features of the RAZR and packs a 3300mAh battery for over 21 hours of talk time and up to 15.8 days standby time on one single charge.
