Sony brings to the CES 2009 its new DCR-DVD850 and DCR-DVD650 Handycam DVD camcorders. Both DVD camcorders feature 1/8-inch 680K-pixel CCD imagersCarl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lenses, and 60X optical zoom. They can does video recording to 3-inch DVD discs.

In addition the flash memory camcorders FS22, FS21 and FS200 , Canon offers the DC420 and DC410 DVD camcorders. Both of them records directly to 8cm DVD media, including DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-R DL.

The Canon DC420 features a 1.07 Megapixel image sensor and 48x Advanced Zoom lens while the Canon DC410 has 0.68 Megapixel sensor and 41x advanced zoom lens.

Canon announced also the DC330, DC320 and DC310 DVD digital camcorders. The Canon DC330, DC320 feature a 1.07 Megapixel CCD image sensor, Canon 48x Advanced Zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Panasonic presents two new video camcorder, the VDR-D310 and the NV-GS320.

The Panasonic VDR-D310 is a DVD camcorder which supports DVD Dual Layer DVD-R/RW and DVD RAM. There are 3 recording modes, XP at 10Mbps, SP at 5Mbps and LP at 2.5Mbps. The Panasonic NV-GS320 is a traditional MiniDV camcroder which supports SD/SDHC. Both of them features a 3CCD sensor with Mega OIS and you can take photos up to 3 Megapixel.

Other than the DC50 DVD Camcorder, Canon has also the DC210 Camcorder. The Canon DC210 features the DIVIC DV II processor, a 35x optical zoom, 1000x digital zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD display.

The Canon DC210 DVD camcorder is expected to be available in early March and the price is $399.

There is also Canon DC220 DVD Camcorder which builds on the basis of the DC210. It adds a nine-point AiAF autofocus, and a miniSD memory card slot.

Last one is the Canon DC230 DVD Camcorder, other than features added into DC220, the DC230 has also a 1.07 megapixel CCD image sensor.

Canon presents its DC50 DVD Camcorder. The Canon DC50 features a 5.39 Megapixel CCD image sensor, 10x of optical zoom, 200x of digital zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and RGB primary color filter.

The Canon DC50 uses 3-inch DVDs as storage. One 3-inch DVD disc can store up to 60 minutes of video and it supports dual layer DVDs.

The Canon DC50 will hit the store in February and the price is $799.
