The new NOOK is called by B&N as The Simple Touch Reader.It features a 6-inch e-ink Pearl display with Zeforce infrared touchscreen, like the new Kobo eReader Touch, that allows users to turn pages, look up words, highlight passages, adjust the font size and style easily. The newly-designed lightweight, slim reader is 35 percent lighter and 15 percent thinner than NOOK Wi-Fi 1st Edition.

Velocity Micro Cruz Tablet

Velocity Micro releases its Cruz Tablet T103 and Cruz Reader R101. Both of them are available at Amazon and are priced at $267.19 and $149.99, respectively. The Cruz Tablet and Cruz Reader both have a 7-inch touchscreen. The former gets a capacitive touchscreen with 16:9 800×480 resolution while the latter has a 4:3 800×600 display.

Other than the IQ701 Android tablet, PocketBook also releases the Pro 602 e-book reader. The reader has similar configurations as the IQ701, packing a 533MHz processor and 256MB RAM. It has a 6-inch 800×600 e-ink screen and a microSD card slot for storing e-book files. The Pro 602′s rechargeable battery offers up to 14,000 page flips.
