Casio is launching two entry-level point-and-shoot digital cameras, the Exilim EX-ZS10 and EX-ZS5. Both cameras have 14.1 Megapixel resolution and a 26mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom as well as a 2.7-inch LCD display. The ZS10 is able to record 720p HD video while the ZS5 features VGA video recording at a resolution of 640×480.

Nikon CoolPix L24

Nikon is going to release two new entry-level L-series models, the CoolPix L23 and the US-bound CoolPix L24, which are the successors to the CoolPix L22. The former is a 14 Megapixel camera with 3.6x optical zoom NIKKOR lens and 3-inch LCD display while the 10.1 Megapixel  L23 has 5x zoom NIKKOR lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display. They both use AA-size alkaline, lithium or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.

Olympus X-560WP

Olympus releases two new entry-level digital cameras, the waterproof X-560WP and the T100. The former features waterproof seals and gaskets that keeps water out so you can take pictures as deep as 10 feet underwater while the latter is a budget-friendly easy-to-use camera.

Other than the waterproof G5WP and 15x zoom X5, General Imaging brings also five Smart Series compact digital cameras. All these GE cameras come in Red, Black and Silver.

Canon PowerShot A495 Blue

In addition to A3100 IS and A3000 IS, Canon presents the PowerShot A495 and A490, two more entry-level digital cameras for budget-conscious consumers. Both models have 10 Megapixel image sensor, a 3.3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Red

Canon launches the PowerShot A3100 IS and A3000 IS entry-level digital cameras. Thee A3100 IS and A3000 IS are almost identical except for their sensor. The former gets a 12.1 Megapixel sensor while the latter has 10 Megapixel resolution.

FujiFilm brings four new entry-level digital cameras, the FinePix AX250, AX200, AV150 and AV100, for budget-minded consumers. These cameras are pretty similar. The AX250 and AV150 get 14 Megapixel sensor while the AX200 and AV100 have 12 Megapixel CCD.

FujiFilm FinePix J38 Digital Camera

FujiFilm brings three entry-level digital cameras, the FinePix A170, A220 and J38. The FinePix A170 is a 10 Megapixel camera while the A220 has a 12 Megapixel sensor. The more stylish FinePix J38 gets a 12 Megapixel sensor.

Samsung presents the SL720 (aka PL70) and SL502 (aka PL55) entry-level digital cameras. These cameras have 12.2 Megapixel image sensor and 5x optical zoom lens.

The Samsung SL720 features 28mm wide angle, a 3-inch LCD display, ability to record 720p HD video in H.264 format and optical and digital dual image stabilization. The SL502, instead, has a 35mm lens, a 2.7-inch display, and 640×480 video recording.
