FujiFilm FinePix J38 Digital Camera

FujiFilm brings three entry-level digital cameras, the FinePix A170, A220 and J38. The FinePix A170 is a 10 Megapixel camera while the A220 has a 12 Megapixel sensor. The more stylish FinePix J38 gets a 12 Megapixel sensor.

Samsung presents the SL720 (aka PL70) and SL502 (aka PL55) entry-level digital cameras. These cameras have 12.2 Megapixel image sensor and 5x optical zoom lens.

The Samsung SL720 features 28mm wide angle, a 3-inch LCD display, ability to record 720p HD video in H.264 format and optical and digital dual image stabilization. The SL502, instead, has a 35mm lens, a 2.7-inch display, and 640×480 video recording.

Before the PMA 2009, Olympus announced the new E-620 entry-level DLSR, which is “the world’s smallest and lightest D-SLR with built-in Image Stabilisation and a portable creative studio”.

In expanding the SL line, Samsung presents the SL202 and SL30 entry-level cameras in addition to the mid-range SL820 and SL620. Samsung’s SL202 and SL30 both have a 10 Megapixel image sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens.

Samsung introduces the new ES10 compact entry-level digital camera. The ES10 has a 8.1 Megapixel image sensor, 3x zoom Samsung lens and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Fujifilm announced two new entry-level digital cameras, the A150 and the A100. Both cameras features a 10 Megapixel CCD sensor, a Fujinon 3x zoom lens, ISO 1600, picture stabilization, anti-blur and Face Detection. Fujifilm’s A150 has a 3-inch LCD display while the A100 comes with a 2.7-inch screen.

Nikon announced two new entry-level cameras, the CoolPix L20 and the CoolPix L19. Both compact cameras have the EXPEED image processor. The L20 has a 10 Megapixel sensor and a 3-inch LCD screen while the L19 features 8 Megapixel sensor and 2.7-inch screen. They both got a 3.6x Zoom-NIKKOR lens.

Other than the EOS 50D DSLR, Canon introduces also the entry-level PowerShot  A1000 IS and A2000 IS digital cameras. Both of them feature a 10 Megapixel image sensor and the DIGIC III image processor offering Face Detection, Motion Detection, Red-eye reduction as well as optical image stabilization.

The PowerShot  A1000 IS has 4x optical zoom and 2.5-inch LCD screen; while the PowerShot  A2000 IS offers 6x optical zoom and a 3-inch LCD display.
