G-Technology G-RAID and G-DRIVE Storage Devices with Deskstar 7K4000

Other than the G-DRIVE mobile/USB, Hitachi’s G-Technology also introduces then new G-RAID and G-DRIVE storage solutions based on Hitachi’s new 4TB, 7,200 RPM Deskstar 7K4000 hard drive. The 4TB Deskstar drive uses 6Gbps SATA interface and has 64MB cache buffer. Both G-RAID and G-DRIVE have 3Gbps eSATA, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 ports, and come with an all-aluminum enclosure. They are pre-formatted for Mac OS X system and are Time Machine Ready.

G-Technology, a brand of Hitachi Global Storage, introduces the new G-DRIVE slim portable storage companion for the Apple Macbook, MacBook Pro or Macbook Air. Based on Hitachi’s rugged 7mm Travelstar Z5K320 drive, the G-DRIVE slim is the thinnest portable hard drive in the world, measuring just 9.9mm thick.
