Garmin introduces the new GPSMAP 600 series rugged GPS navigation device that is ready for land and sea. There are two models, the GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640, both featues a rugged touchscreen. The GPSMAP 640 is design for the US market and preloaded with a comprehensive set of street maps and marine charts while the GPSMAP 620 is for markets outside the US.
Garmin’s GPSMAP 600 series is equipped with high sensitivity GPS receiver, a IPX7 waterproff 5.2-inch 800×480 touchscreen display. The GPSMAP 640 is able to offer a true 3-D “mariner’s eye view,” and a “fish eye view” for an underwater 3D bathymetric contour perspective, thanks to the optional BlueChart g2 Vision technology.
