Thermaltake has introduced the Max 5G, an active cooling 3.5-inch external hard drive enclosure with dual silent 80mm fans with blue LEDs to cool hard drives for better durability and performance. The Max 5G uses USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface for faster data transfer and is backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. It supports all 3.5-inch SATA I/II/III hard drives up to 2TB.

TRENDnet announced two new USB 3.0 external hard drive enclosures, the 3.5-inch TU3-S35 and the 2.5-inch TU3-S25, both support SuperSpeed USB 3.0 5Gbps speed, which is 10 times faster the USB 2.0. These USB 3.0 enclosures supports SATA I and SATA II hard drives with over 1TB storage capacities. The  TU3-S35 also comes with a mounting stand.

PhotoFast introduces the G-Monster X Drive USB 3.0 enclosure for 1.8-inch ZIF or microSATA hard drive/SSD, 1.8-inch Toshiba 50pin IDE hard drive/SSD or CF Type 1/CFast. The X Drive supports USB 3.0 Super Speed and is backward compatible with USB 2.0. The enclosure comes in white and black.
