Here is a hands-on video on the Canon PowerShot TX1 HD Camcorder. Canon PowerShot TX1 has a 7.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, DIGIC III image processor. You can also get 10x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, SO 1800 and has a 1.8-inch TFT LCD screen.

The Canon PowerShot TX1 can record movies in 1280×720 HD resolution (16:9) at 30fps. It supports SD and SDHC memory cards. It is priced at $500.

Canon announced the new PowerShot TX1 HD camcorder which looks like Sanyo’s Xacti cameras. Canon PowerShot TX1 features a 7.1 Megapixel CCD image sensor, 10X optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and the DIGIC III image processor. The TX1 can record movies in 1280 x 720 HD resolution (16:9) at 30fps. It supports up to ISO 1800 and has a 1.8-inch TFT LCD screen. THe PowerShot TX1 uses SD or SDHC as storage media.

Canon PowerShot TX1 measures 88.8x29x59.9mm and weights 220g and will be available in Mid March.

Sanyo has announced its latest HD camcorder, VPC-HD2 which is the successor of the Sanyo VPC-HD1, the world’s smallest HD camcorder. The Sanyo VPC-HD2 can capture pictures up to 7 Megapixel, and it has a 2.2-inch LCD screen, 10x of optical zoom, support for 16:9 mode and SDHC cards up to 8GB. The HD camcorder will ship with a docking station and has a HDMI out.

It is expected to be available in March with a price of about $700.
