Seagate launches the GoFlex Cinema multimedia drive, which is a HD media player with built-in hard drive. The drive supports media playback in Full HD 1080p and offers HDMI 1.3 output. The GoFlex Cinema is avalable in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB, and users can expand capacity by swapping out GoFlex Desk drives. It uses USB interface, allowing you connect a second USB drive or digital camera for a wider range of digital media inputs.

AMEX Digital introduces a new HD media player running Android OS, the MP-G7 with a 500GB hard drive pre-installed. The player is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex processor with Full HD accelerator processing. It supports Full HD 1080p video playback and offers HDMI 1.3a output.

A company called Geniatech introduces the Android TV, a digital TV tuner box running Android. Depending on models, the multi-functional TV tuner supports DVB-T/ISDB-T/D-TMB/DVB-S/DVB-S2/DVB-T2 digital broadcasting standards. The box can also handle HD video playback and with Android 2.2 OS, users can install video playback apps to handle different media formats.

Asus adds to its O!Play line the new compact O!Play MINI HD media player. The new MINI player offers Full HD 1080p output via HDMI and has a multi-in-one media card slot for playback from SD, MMC, MS and xD memory cards. Xtream combines a HD media player and a dock for iDevices, creating the new iXtreamer hybrid media player. Not only serves as a HD media player/streamer, the iXtreamer features an Apple dock for use with iPad, all iPhone models and most iPod models, for media playback and charging.

Chinavasion offers the CVNZ-E142, which is probably the world’s smallest HD media player. Looks more like the USB flash drive, the player is even smaller than Hi-Den Vision’s HD-0311 and Amex Digital’s MP-501. It doesn’t offer HDMI output and Full HD output, however.
