MSI Movie Station HD1000 HD Media Player

MSI enters the HD media player market and rolls out in Germany the Movie Station HD1000 network-ready HD media player. The HD1000 supports Full HD 1080p video output via HDMI 1.3. The player no internal storage but supports USB external storage devices. It can also connect to your home network for media streaming from other PCs.

TrustedReviews reviewed the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 digital camcorder. Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 is a full HD camcorder that features a 4 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, 10x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom, ISO rating up to 3200, and a SD/SDHC card slot.

The VPC-HD1000 records in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format and it offers Flicker Reduction and Wind Noise Reduction.

Sanyo is to be commended for another bold attempt to unify the differing needs of camcorder and digital camera users. However, it still doesn’t quite pull it off. The VPC-HD1000 is an impressive device and you’re sure to evoke admiring glances when you whip it out in public. But the video quality is below that of HD camcorders from the big brands, and a sub-Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£200 pocket camera from the likes of Canon or Panasonic will beat its still images. So, yet again, the Xacti is a reasonable jack of two trades, but not quite master enough of either.
