Virgin Mobile USA will launche the new Helio Ocean 2 mobile phone, which has been unboxed, on 12 Febuary 2009. The Helio Ocean 2 is a dual-slider QWERTY phone with a 2.6-inch QVGA LCD display, a 2 Megpaixel camera, integrated media player, Bluetooth YouTube support, and GPS-enabled Google Maps.

Gizmodo gives us a hands-on look at the Helio Ocean phone. Helio Ocean is a smartphone with QWERTY keyboard and supports EV-DO network. Heilo Ocean has a 2.4-inch LCD display, a 2 Megapixel camera, and built-in Media plyaer. The Ocean has 200 internal memory and supports microSD card for expansion.

After the Heat and the Drift, Helio offers the Ocean smartphone produced by Pantech. The Helio Ocean has a 2.4-inch QVGA 260k color LCD display. a 2 Megapixel camera supporting MPEG-4 video recording, full QWERTY keypad, integrated Personal Entertainment Center  supporting MP3, AAC, WMA, MPEG-4, H.264, VOD, MOD media formats.

The Ocean supports EV-DO network and Bluetooth. It has 200MB internal memory with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The Helio Ocean measures 4.33″ x 2.20″ x .86″ for 5.61oz and it will be available before summer for $295.

This is the Helio Heat mobile phone by Samsung. The Heat is actually the same as the Samsung SGH-E900/E908. It features the touch-sensitive buttons like those in LG Chocolate phones.

The Helio Heat is a 3G phone with GPS navigation. It has a 2-inch LCD screen, an 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash, built-in media player, Bluetooth,136MB internal memory, support for 1xEV-DO.

This is Helio’s Pantech PN-810 dual slider phone. The Pantech PN-810 has a 2.1 Megapixel camera, QWERTY keypad, Bluetooth support, built-in media player.

The PN-810 has “two distinct layers to provide two completely different keypads depending on the slide direction: QWERTY in one, numeric in the other”.

Pantech announces its new ‘Hero’ EV-DO CDMA cellphone for the US. Hero features a 2.2″ QVGA Screen, 2Megapixel camera, 70MB of internal memory and supports both Mp3 and Mpeg4 H.264 playback. The phone measures 4.3 in x 1.9 in x 1 inch and weighs 4.73 ounces. It also supports T-Flash as external memory. The phone will be offered via MVNO Helio in the US. One more pictur below.
