Following the original Aspire One Happy, Acer introduces for the US market its new Aspire One Happy 2 color-inspired stylish netbook, which comes in four colors with unique names – Banana Cream, Blueberry Shake, Papaya Milk, and Strawberry Yogurt. The 10.1-inch netbook is boosted by Intel’s Atom N570 dual core processor, integrated graphics and 1GB of DDR3 memory.

Gigabyte brings to the Computex 2011 its S1080 slate-style tablet PC. The 10.1-inch device is powered by an Intel Atom N550 1.66GHz dual core processor and runs Windows 7. It sports 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics.

Linutop introduces the latest Linutop 4 Linux nettop PC, which is ideal for use on kiosk, thin client or digital signage. The Linux computer sports Intel’s Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (2GB max), integrated Intel GMA950 graphics and 2GB flash memory.

Fujitsu is going to release in late June its Lifebook TH40/D sliding tablet PC. Sharing the same form factor as Samsung’s Sliding PC 7, the TH40/D has a slide-out keyboard. Powered by Intel Atom Z670 1.5GHz Oak Trail processor, the sliding Lifebook has 1GB of memory, 120GB hard drive and integrated graphics.

In addition to Samsung’s Series 5 Chromebook, Google has also partnered with Acer to introduce Chromebook that will be available for order on 15 June. The 11.6-inch laptop is powered by dual core Intel Atom processor, Acer’s Chromebook packs 2GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics and 16GB SSD storage.

HP updates its t5740e Thin Client with enhanced hardware and software to deliver improved responsiveness and multimedia experiences. Powered by Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, the t5740e (model XL425AT) packs 2GB of DDR3 RAM and Intel GL40 graphics. The thin client offers six USB 2.0 ports, VGA and DisplayPort output, Ethernet LAN port, built-in speakers, headphone in and microphone in as well as serial and two PS/2 ports.

Samsung and Google introduce the world’s first Chromebook, the stylish Series 5 “built on the principles of speed, simplicity and security,” running Google’s cloud-based Chrome OS. Samsung’s Chromebook has an elegant shape and a slim 0.79-inch body and a simple Titan Silver or White finish.

Samsung’s Sliding PC 7 Series is its first sliding tablet PC. The compact, lightweight tablet features a sliding keyboard for easy typing. It has a 10.1-inch 1366×768 touchscreen. The Sliding PC 7 is powered by Intel’s Atom Z670 1.66GHz Oal Trail processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB SSD.

HP redesignes its Mini 210 netbook computer, adding Beats Audio to deliver high-quality entertainment plus productivity while on the go. The new Mini 210 gets a modern, streamlined aesthetic with a sleek upswept back and is available in five colors – sweet purple, charcoal, crimson red, luminous rose and ocean drive.

Aussie company Evolve III (Evolve Three) introduces the Maestro S, a slate PC powered by the newest  Intel Oak Trail Atom Z670 1.5GHz processor. The slate packs 2GB of RAM and a 32GB 1.8-inch SSD (64GB optional). It has a 10.1-inch 1024×600 capacitive touchscreen, a 1.3 Megapixel front facing camera, and built-in 1.5Wx2 speakers.
