Asus Eee PC 1015N Atom N550 Netbook with NVIDIA ION and Optimus

Asus shows at the Computex 2010 in Taipei the new Eee PC 1015N netbook powered by Intel’s new Atom N550 1.5GHz processor. The 1015N is equipped with NVIDIA ION 2 graphics chipset and supports NVIDIA’s Optimus technology for auto switch between integrated GMA 3150 graphics and ION 2.

NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU Officially Announced

NVIDIA officially announced its next generation Ion 2 graphics processor, like the original Ion, designed for netbooks, nettops and all-in-one PCs. Based on the GeForce G210 GPU, the Ion 1 offers 10 times faster graphics performance than standard netbooks and up to 10 hours of battery life in netbook, according to NVIDIA.
