Canon is going to launch in Japan its iVIS HF11 and iVIS HG21 digital camcorder that support the AVCHD standard. Both of them have a 3.31 Megapixel Canon Full HD CMOS image sensor, 12X optical zoom and 40x digital zoom.

The Canon iVIS HF11, replacing the HF10, has 32GB internal storage while the HG21, which is the successor of the HG10, comes with a 120GB hard drive. Both of them supports also SD and SDHC memory cards. They are powered by Canon’s DIGIC DV II video engine. HF11 and HG21 are capable in recording HD 1920×1080 videos in  MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High Profile format. They get also a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Both camcorders  will be available in late August.

Canon introduced the new iVIS HG10, a camcorder with a 40GB hard drive. HG10 can be considered as the improved version of the HR10. The iVIS HG10 features a 2.96 Megapixel CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

HG10 supports the AVCHD standard that it can record video at Full HD 1920×1080 resolution. Other than HDD, HG10 supports also MiniSD memory cards.

Canon announced its iVIS HR10 HD camcorder which supports the AVCHD standard. The Canon iVIS HR10 has a 2 Megapixel (1920×1080) image sensor which allows it to record HD videos. HR10 has also a 10x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Canon iVIS HR10 is powered by Canon’s DIGIC DV II image processor, and comes with the Instant AF system. The camcorder records AVCHD video to DVD-R discs while it supports also DVD-R DL. You may also store still images on miniSD memory cards.
